License tagging for Image:Petrovici.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Petrovici.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:12, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

A question

[edit]

{{helpme}}

On the Ion Petrovici talk page there was a {{WPBiography}} template added that rated the article as Stub-Class. Meanwhile, I have rewritten the article by translating the Romanian version and I don't know if the rating still applies to the new article... I couldn't find anything about this, except to re-rate it myself, but I'm very new to Wikipedia and I'm not ready to start rating articles on my own account, especially articles that I have written or translated myself. Danielgrad 13:12, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Biography is a group of users who will, among other things, rate biographical articles; asking for the article to be re-rated at Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography/Assessment would seem to be the best course of action here. --ais523 13:27, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the answer... I'll try that Danielgrad 13:46, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

{{helpme}} I found a page that seems to have been vandalized numerous times and I just can't separate good content from nonsense. Is there a tag for these kind of pages to alert editors to check the page and take appropriate action? I need someone who can correctly judge the content of that article. Danielgrad 14:56, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tag it as {{NPOV}} ..----Cometstyles 15:01, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Why NPOV? I'm not disputing neutrality... It's just full or random nonsense and minor edits that probably made the article inaccurate. The article is Premier League 2007-08. There are different IP's all adding small edits every few minutes. Danielgrad 15:14, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Eddie Grant - Reparation 2006.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Eddie Grant - Reparation 2006.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:34, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Translating

[edit]

Thank you so much for your help with m:Donate/ro! Would you mind helping to update the "Contact us" page as well? The workspace is on Meta-Wiki at m:Translation requests/WMF/Contact us/ro. Thanks! Cbrown1023 talk 23:43, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Translated as much as I could, by I'm not familiar with legal terms like 'Registered agent', 'Designated agent' or 'Local chapters'. Someone with better knowledge on this type of language should translate those terms. ---DanielGrad (talk) 09:15, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Daniel. Would you mind reviewing Afil's translation of the Home page (including the "news" transcluded there)? Sorry to keep bothering you guys, but you're the only Romanian's I know. :-( (...and, of course, from what I can see, you do good work! :-)) Cbrown1023 talk 20:20, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the Staff page if you could! Cbrown1023 talk 20:04, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much for your help Daniel! I published the Home page at wmf:Pagina principală, but haven't done Staff or News yet. Thanks again. :-) (Oh, by the way, the status after "proofreading" is "done" or "ready".) Cbrown1023 talk 21:04, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll try to review the other pages soon ---Danielgrad (talk) 12:35, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:I met the walrus.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. File:Boita-turn.jpg

[edit]

Hi there from WP:Dacia! I found this great picture of yours File:Boita-turn.jpg from Boița and I wondering if you have more detail about it. Is it really a Roman ruin? Which one? I am currently working on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Dacia/Drafts/List of castra in Romania and was thinking to use it. Thanks and best regards. --Codrin.B (talk) 18:51, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately I don't have any more information about that tower. And I don't remember the sources through which I found it to be a Roman tower.
Some useful information:

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Reparation (album) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Reparation (album), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
