User talk:DanielaUoP
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!
I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: it appears to be related to an article you have been editing, University of the People, and thus may be considered promotional in nature. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?
I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.
You have several options freely available to you:
- If you can relieve my concern through discussing it here, I can stop worrying about it.
- If the two of us can't agree here, we can ask for help through Wikipedia's dispute resolution process, such as requesting comments from other Wikipedians. Wikipedia administrators usually abide by agreements reached through this process.
- You can keep your contributions history under a new username. Visit Wikipedia:Changing username and follow the guidelines there.
Also, you may want to read over Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline. Basically you should avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you or your organization. The guideline linked above has more information on this. I hope you find it helpful. SheepNotGoats (Talk) 13:00, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
DanielaUoP (talk) 12:19, 17 May 2009 (UTC) 3:16pm May 17, 2009 - Hello- I am the Content Editor for the University of the People. As such, I named myself DanielaUoP so that internally, we are always clear that the site has been edited by myself or someone on the team. I am not quite sure how to edit the title page for the P in People to be capitalized because this page was uploaded prior to my employment at UoPeople. I hope this answers and resolves this issue? Thanks.
