Request for Interview Regarding Wikipedia Bots

My name is Randall Livingstone, and I am a graduate student at the University of Oregon, currently collecting data for my dissertation on Wikipedia editors who create and use bots and assisted editing tools, as well as editors involved in the initial and/or ongoing creation of bot policies on Wikipedia. As a member of BAG and the bot community, I would very much like to interview you for the project at a time and in a method that is most convenient for you (Gchat, another IM client, Skype, email, telephone, etc.). I am completely flexible and can work with your schedule. The interview will take approximately 30-45 minutes.
My dissertation project has been approved both by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at the University of Oregon, and by the Research Committee at the Wikimedia Foundation. You can find more information on the project on my meta page.

Edit warring and Violation of WP:OWN by user:John sargis
[edit]Please keep an eye on the article on Takis Fotopoulos. user:John sargis, a member[1] of Takis Fotopoulos' political-ideological faction (Inclusive Democracy) acts in a disruptive manner by deleting referenced information that is not flattering to Fotopoulos. This information is taken straight from the Greek section of Inclusive Democracy's website: it is an exceedingly long announcement in Greek by Inclusive Democracy that, among other conspiracy theories it sets forth, accuses the Free Software movement and organizations like Democracy Now! and Fairness and Accuracy In Reporting of being accessories to the master plan of the "transnational elite" and the New World Order. It is a clear attempt on behalf of Inclusive Democracy members to censor Wikipedia because some things they said could make them look bad. Also, do have a look at the Talk page of the concerned article (the article on Takis Fotopoulos and the discussion of the AfD (when ID members realized that their claims could and would be scrutinized, questioned and/or heavily edited and changed, they tried to have the article removed. When they didn't have their way, they posted a libelous announcement against Wikipedia on their website[2]. Elp gr (talk) 20:21, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
- It seems that user:John sargis has brought company. They have even gone as far as to claim that claims made by Takis Fotopoulos and his team on their own website say the exact opposite of what they say (if you don't trust me, have someone else with a working grasp of both the English and Greek languages translate the announcements in which pretty much everyone who is not in complete conformance with Inclusive Democracy is deemed a... zionist, a tool of the Israeli Embassy, an "anonymous hoodie", a slanderer etc). We're talking about some serious edit warring being carried out by the fans of Mr. Fotopoulos and this shows that these people have absolutely zero respect for Wikipedia and its rules.
