"3rd United States Infantry" request for mediation
I have informed the called parties that should they agree to mediation, I will agree to any demand on their part to be joined as a party to the mediation process. I believe that I have un-refuted evidence establishing the official name of that military unit as 3rd United States Infantry Regiment, published over the signature block of the commanding general of the Army at the time of publication as an official endorsement of a history of the Army of the United States. I further believe I was not named as a party because doing so is not in the interests of the party calling for mediation, given that this party referred me to the official US Army website where I discovered the 19th century secondary source (written by a unit veteran/primary source). I have been and will continue to be in contact with the FBI and United States Department of Justice as a victim in an unrelated matter concerning a recent criminal conviction on, among other charges, "fraud/false statements in general", so it is a matter of personal consistency that I am agreeable to mandatory joinder in this matter. Hotfeba 00:16, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I was going to suggest that you add your name to the list of parties if you think you are involved and would like to take part, but it's already been added by someone else. Cheers, Daniel 10:46, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What?
Kindly refrain from removing the comments of others from my talk page. If you think futurebird's comment was a personal attack, then perhaps you need to look up the definition. It was nothing of the sort. *x* deeceevoice 08:23, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really think that the comment you deleted was a "personnel attack" I stay away from that sort of thing. In fact, it was a serious question. I'm sort of in a state of shock right now because I had higher expectations for admins. I'm wondering how you came across my comment so quickly and why you thought it was a personal attack? futurebird 11:34, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- It's unneededily attacking someone. For me, that's a personal attack. Daniel 00:54, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, 47! Thank you for voicing your opinion in my RfA, which passed today with a unanimous 79/0/0 tally. It feels great to be appreciated, and I will try my best to meet everyone's expectations. I know mediation wasn't likely, but seemed to be the best option at the time. Thanks for the effort. — BQZip01 — talk 02:06, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

a warped sense of humor, but this (link removed) had me laughing out loud! Thanks for that, even if humor was not an intended side-effect, lol. Ariel♥Gold 03:46, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I removed the link for WP:BEANS :) It was part-humour, part-annoyance at people who seem to enjoy claiming that they're an administrator, support the Mariners, and have over 30,000 edits... Daniel 03:48, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Hee hee, I love the beans essay! I almost spit out my tea all over my keyboard the first time I read it, lol. And while I can't really fathom why someone would want to transclude your userboxes, I think that your solution was an ingenious piece of coding that solves it in one fell swoop, lol. (I might steal that some day if I ever find a need for it, lmao) Also, just want to tell you I like that you made your own userboxes. I've been meaning to do that for a while, I've made some of my own, but I hate how they are all different colors/sizes, it drives me insane, lol. Someday when I get bored I guess I'll do it, they do look quite spiffy. Anyway, thanks again for the laugh. :) Ariel♥Gold 03:54, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Me and that member had a misunderstanding and it was resolved. For reference the base meaning of ignorance is "ignore-ance" he ignored the message and accidently deleted it. Closing AfD's
After reading your essay closing this AfD, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lehi in the Wilderness: 81 New Documented Evidences That the Book of Mormon Is a True History, I was truly impressed. I hope to emulate you. Bearian 17:05, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mediation

- I'd like to watch on this time, then if you are inclined, I'll mediate one with you watching. Mercury 17:40, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I have initiated a discussion on our private mailing list, as it's the Committee's decision as a whole to determine which offers from mediators will be accepted (as a formal Committee). I will inform you of the result of the discussion when a conclusion and consensus is reached.

Your suggestion about complaint about Fred Bauder
So you are suggesting that registering a complaint on a Arbitration talk page of an Arbitration that was closed last February 2007 would be effective? (I ask because I have never seen any response or even acknowledgment of comments or questions made of the talk pages of Arbitrations. I do not think the arbitrators even read them at the time the arbitration is onging, nevermind eight months after it has closed.) --Mattisse 13:04, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I also suggested WT:RFAR. Regardless, what I'm sure of is WP:BN isn't the place for it. Cheers, Daniel 12:59, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Adding users or articles to an accepted mediation request
Is it possible to add people or articles to a mediation request that has already been accepted? I would like to do both with Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Iraq War. -- I. Pankonin (t/c) 01:35, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- It is. Please follow these steps:-
- Contact WLRoss (talk) on his talk and ask him/her if he/she agrees to mediation with the two new parties.
- If WLRoss does, add the parties to the list on Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Iraq War.
- I'll notify them, and then they can note their acceptance/rejection of mediation.
- We'll take it from there. Cheers, Daniel 13:01, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New to VandalProof
Hi, I was recently approved by Betacommand to use VandalProof. However, once I downloaded the 136 zip file and VP137.exe file, I cannot log in. The program can locate my username and password, however, it says: "No priviliges found." Also, I clicked on the button Verify Authorisation, yet it still didn't work. Can you please help? Thanks. σмgнgσмg 06:46, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
