- @Pythoncoder: Hi Pythoncoder, thanks so much for taking the time to review my draft submission. I have two questions: first, it looks like you reviewed an earlier version of the page, and it seems the most recent one has disappeared. Are those two things related? Second, please could you elaborate what about the page seemed like advertising to you? This is my first attempt at a wikipedia article, and everything I have read so far says that bio pages are the hardest to get right, so any guidance for how to improve my submission would be much appreciated. And, of course, if there are other guidelines I am not following, please let me know - I'm trying to learn. Many thanks.

- It looks better to me know. The one issue I see right away is “Ilan’s photography has gained attention for its uses of abstraction, his inventive lighting solutions, and a unique color palette, resulting in photographs that ‘blend the sublime with the absurd’”. Here, since it’s based on one source’s opinion, you should probably write something like “(Author/Source Name) praised his uses of abstraction...” so it doesn’t sound like it’s in Wikipedia’s voice. Hope this helps. pythoncoder (talk | contribs) 00:00, 10 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Pythoncoder: It does, thank you! Danica Newell (talk) 20:25, 10 October 2018 (UTC)

- @RoySmith: Hi, Thank you for reviewing my submission. Is there anything, in particular, you think should be edited for more neutrality and less of the promotional vibe that seems to be coming across? I'm a newbie and your feedback would be greatly appreciated.Danica Newell (talk) 20:31, 10 October 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Ilan Rubin (photographer)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Ilan Rubin (photographer), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
