I'm just a bookworm who's trying to get to grips with Wikipedia's formatting rules. Feel free to let me know if I've made any mistakes and how I can avoid making them again in the future! Danecobain (talk) 23:34, 13 June 2014 (UTC) danecobain
sourcing
[edit]Please don't add yourself as a source. WP:RS is a good starting point for understanding what constitutes a reliable source. Adding links to your own blogs is liable to get messy and could see you banned for spamming. GimliDotNet (Speak to me,Stuff I've done) 15:23, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
I came here to say the same thing. I have removed the remaining links to SocialBookshelves.com and I would caution User:Danecobain from linking to it again. I am concerned with edits such as this, as interviews should never be used to support claims regarding another living person, whether it's published in a reliable source or not. This particular instance isn't anything you'd get banned over, just please be aware of it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Cheers! Woodroar (talk) 16:16, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
A page you started (Booktrope) has been reviewed!
[edit]Thanks for creating Booktrope, Danecobain!
Wikipedia editor Mike1901 just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:
Article looks good - nice work! Perhaps comes across slightly overly-promotional, would be good to add some third-party references from reputable sources if you know any just to make sure it's definitely notable as a subject.

The file File:DaneCobain.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Orphaned image with no foreseeable encyclopedic use.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Pkbwcgs (talk) 20:56, 25 April 2018 (UTC)
