Wow thanks for all the work you've put into this article, I just got an email from a critical mass friend about the next ride and this article is a great help to me. I must see what I can do about organising some 'pedians from Melbourne to go on the ride with me :) --Qirex 10:05, 6 January 2006 (UTC)
Oh and just a quick pointer, wiki links need not be formatted like "whatever". If you don't want to capitalise the first letter, just type whatever and the wikipedia software automatically directs the link to point at Whatever. There's a related short-cut when you want to link to a page but grammatically need to add a suffix to the word, like a "s" for plural: "There are fewer cyclists in Antarctica" displays as "There are fewer cyclists in Antarctica". Cheers, Qirex 10:28, 6 January 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for all the tips!! Let me know if you want to get involved in the event. I gotta get to bed... later... Dandelion1 10:32, 6 January 2006 (UTC)

Permission images
[edit]Hi,
I changed the tag for your Petra+fishermen.jpg photo upload from the "copyrightedfairuse" tag to "permission", since you noted in the text "please ask for permission before using somewhere else". Wikipedia doesn't allow uploads of so-called "permission" images where the copyright holder has given permission to Wikipedia (only) to host the image. Images must be licensed under the GFDL, another suitable CC license, or in the public domain.

[edit]Also, about categories, I removed them because wikipedia has a policy against including an article in both a category and a subcategory of the same cat. Civil Disobedience and Culture Jamming fall into Activism, Protests and Social Movements, so it's redundant to include the higher level cat, and Social Networking is not about activism, it's about MySpace and Friendster. Look at the category listing, the only ones there that aren't about those kinds of websites are the ones you added yourself. It doesn't belong on the articles. Night Gyr 22:31, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
I'm copying this over because I think you've used way too many irrelevant categories on your Nudism/Clothes free/whatever the PC name for naked in public is articles, and I'd like to work out a consensus with you so we don't end up in a revert war. I don't see how they fall into Social Networking, as mentioned above, unless you're talking specifically about organizational efforts. I also don't see most of them as falling into DIY culture, because most of them are specific to clothesfree stuff, and not relevant to someone looking to learn about DIY in general. It seems you've used the same category set for pretty much all of the clothesfree articles you've worked on, so I want to work them all out at once. Not having articles in a cat that they're in a subcat of already seems to be a good place to start. Night Gyr 22:42, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
I went through and deleted a bunch of these categoy links on several pages. I think I got most of them. Thanks. Dandelion1 00:23, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
Noting your interests, I wonder if you'd like to come help out with hare coursing? The debate's been very civil up 'till now, but now a user has arrived who is insisting on inserting their incredibly POV edits. I had to revert because it was one huge mass of POV, but they've just reverted right back, and I can't see how to fix it. I could do with not being the only one addressing these problems. Cheers! — ciphergoth 08:40, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Judging from some of your edits, you might be able to judge the notability of this organization, and if it is notable, you might be able to improve the article and weigh in on the AfD. Also, I left a comment on the Clothes free organizations page. Schizombie 20:57, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

Image:NRT6 2001.jpg listed for deletion
[edit]Hi Dandelion. At Image:NRT6 2001.jpg you wrote "Photo courtesy of Ralf at http://no-limit-nudism.de" and tagged with attribution. We need to know what Ralf said exactly: did he say he releases all rights to the photo, including allowing the photo to be sold or modified, except that he requires attribution? The same issue goes for Image:B2B.jpg and other photos. For example, why is Image:PaintedCyclists2005 6.jpg free? Please clarify these issues, or the images will have to be deleted. Thanks, User:dbenbenn 00:10, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Do you have images that are slightly higher resolution? These images look pretty fuzzy, blurry, small.
all pics have a resolution of 600x450 and the thumbnails 120x90. You have listed the thumbnails, try without "t" for higher resolution. The pics you've selected are not critical.
Greetings Ralf
Thanks!

You have my permission to use the photos of my page www.no-limit-nudism.de for the site you mentioned. Please let me know before publishing, which photos you like to use - so I can check, if the persons on it agree.
Greetings Ralf

Halo Ralf!
Mein name ist Daniel.
I was wondering if we may have permission to use some of your photos on this page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clothing-optional_bike_rides
The pictures we use can be copyrighted but other must be able to use them if they credit the photographer.
Is this ok?
Let me know!
Danke!
Daniel
Okay, thanks for the information. You might want to read Wikipedia:Boilerplate request for permission. I think that Ralf's statement "You have my permission to use the photos" isn't good enough. Could you please get in touch with Ralf again to clarify that he's allowing the photos to be sold on t-shirts (for example)? Thanks, User:dbenbenn 01:19, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
- OK, I just sent him an e-mail again regarding GNU Free Documentation License. It may take time as he is in Germany. Dandelion1 01:49, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
P.S. You might want to get your username changed at Wikipedia:Changing username. Also, since you apparently contribute as Dandelion1, you won't see the "You have new messages" box.

I can see no problem with its use. Interesting that you should select that one. I believe that it might be used on one or two other sites.

Hey there,
I was wondering if we could use one of your images of B2B for an entry at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clothing-optional_activities_on_public_lands
The image can be copyrighted, but for use on wikipedia it has to be cleared for general use.
Thanks for your consideration! Cheers!

Charles,
One more question, could I use a naked yoga picture as well? There is a poorly written naked yoga article that I want to revamp but it needs a good picture and better information, which I think I can dig up.

Hi Charles,
...
I am working on a Wikipedia page on public nudity and want to include you, and perhaps use some stills you send me for the Naked Freedom Film Festival. Will you allow me to use some of the images on this page?

Hi Charles,
Thanks for writing back.
Thanks for letting me use some of your images! It would not be my web site but a wikipedia entry on public nudity. Which is located here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clothing-optional_activities_on_public_lands
Therefore we would have to get some clearance from you on copyright and public domain use and such. Info is here:
Their policy is
"All images on Wikipedia must comply with the image use policy. This means that they must be compatible with the conditions of the GNU Free Documentation License. In particular, images must be free for commercial use and alteration."
refer to
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_images
Would you feel comfortable doing that for one or more of your images that you sent before or that are on your current Synetech Video site? Given the high use the Wikipedia gets we think this is a great opportunity to get info about public nudity out there.
...
Thanks, Charles
Thank you! Cheers!
