License tagging for Image:FL 45 South of FL 574.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:FL 45 South of FL 574.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Duplicate articles
It seems you created the same article twice: State Road 50A (Florida) and Florida State Road 50A. You shouldn't do this, instead make one a redirect to the other using the #REDIRECT [[page name]] code. Thanks. --MZMcBride 02:53, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Shields
No. I haven't really worked with the shields. I don't have the software for it. --Censorwolf 17:03, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Re: Image Tagging for Image:NY-25A.png
This was originally a non-copyrighted Wikipedia image of the NY 25A shiled in svg form that I had to convert into a png file. I have no idea how to add the proper copyright tag. ----DanTD 9:24, 1 Jun 2006 (EST)
- For source information, specify the image you converted from. For copyright status, give it the same tag that the original image had. To bring up an image description page so you can edit the description, click on the image or any link to it, and click "edit this page". --Carnildo 17:44, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

NYS Shields
Dan, if you need a large amount of shields made (I saw your request for NY-108 on the template), just let me know on my talk page. Give me a list of shields that you need and I'll gladly make them for you. --TMF T - C 03:14, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
- OK, all of the numbered route shields that you gave me (NY 45-NY 365) have been created. As for the Caumsett State Parkway, I'll work on that as well. Let me know if you need any more specific shields.
- Yep, I've seen a number of places where shields (especially SVGs) are disappearing. SPUI pointed me to a link the other day that explains the error (I think this link is also present on the top of the U.S. roads project template.). It has something to do with purging the image cache but, as a self-admitted novice to both HTML jargon and the inner workings of Wikipedia, I have no clue what they mean. --TMF T - C 04:23, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
- Yep, it's no problem at all for me to make these. Like I said earlier, if you need any more, let me know and I'll whip 'em up for you. --TMF T - C 18:54, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
- All of the numbered shields you gave me are done. I'll work on shields for the Robert Moses Parkway and the Caumsett. Again, if you need more shields, you know who to ask. --TMF T - C 05:08, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- Just finished the Robert Moses and Caumsett shields. File:Robert Moses State Parkway.png File:Caumsett Pkwy Shield.png
- P.S.: I know the leaf in the white circle is missing on the RMSP shield, but I couldn't find a good picture to trace the leaf from. --TMF T - C 19:31, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- All of the shields you gave me are done. For the disappearing NY 31F and NY 120A shields, I've tried reloading Kuroki's page and bypassing my cache as well as reloading, and the shields are still there for me. --TMF T - C 01:06, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

GA Interstate infoboxes
Yeah, I'm planning to add these infoboxes for Interstates that only partially run through Georgia - that is, I-75, I-85, I-95, I-20, I-59, and I-24 – the routes that are entirely contained within the state (I-16 and the 3-digit ones) will just keep their standard Interstate infoboxes in the interest of consistency. –Pedriana 18:13, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

NY 111
I'm aware of NY 111's history (as it was formed sometime in the 1930s I believe), but here's the infobox directions from WP:NYSR: established: This is the date the route was commissioned or assigned to its current alignment. NY 111 was moved to its present alignment in 1972. However, what I admit I don't know is if NY 111 was only partially moved (i.e. some of the original alignment is part of the current alignment) or was it a complete shift in 1972. If it was only partially moved, please adjust the formed date to that of the original alignment. --TMF T - C 17:06, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Alternate LIE @ Exits 70A & 71.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Alternate LIE @ Exits 70A & 71.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fritz S. (Talk) 15:32, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if this might be public domain (how old is that booklet?) but it probably has to be tagged with {{Non-free fair use in}} and then it'll need a detailed fair use rationale. see Wikipedia:Image description page#Fair use rationale and Wikipedia:WikiProject Fair use/Fair use rationale for details) --Fritz S. (Talk) 10:34, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, then unless whoever published them released them into the public domain, {{fairusein}} is probably right. --Fritz S. (Talk) 14:11, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- You still need to define the article the image is used in in the tag (like this: {{fairusein|Name of article}}) and add a fair use rationale (see links above for description). --Fritz S. (Talk) 15:10, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:NY 27A Bay Shore Proposal-1969-.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:NY 27A Bay Shore Proposal-1969-.JPG. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

RE: Alt. US 17(Jacksonville): Rail-Stub?
DanTD, I was unable to find the article in question, could you provide the link? Thanks! --Holderca1 15:24, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- I fixed it, apparently a bot messed up the hidden comments that SPUI had placed in the article. Definitely not a rail stub. --Holderca1 15:43, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
NYS County Route Shields

Palisades Interstate Parkway
Hi, sorry I'm so late in getting back to you.
I don't find the line regarding passenger cars misleading. Since the article is on the PIP, the fact that trucks aren't allowed on the parkway is the most important -- tidbits about the connecting roads are superfluous -- and since they're not allowed on the parkway, they won't be able to access the exits, even if those roads did allow trucks. -- NORTH talk 03:14, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
