Thanks for the congratulations for finishing all the Metra station articles. You created at least as many station articles as I did and probably more, so you deserve to be congratulated as much as I do. It really is pretty amazing that they're all done; when I started writing these, most of the lines had no station articles written, and the rest were only about half finished. I fixed the Lake Forest problem. I noticed that some of the other Metra names that corresponded to two stations (e.g. Prairie Crossing (Metra)) were fine, so I figured there had to be some way to do it. Turns out I just had to fix the links in Template:Metra stations, and after doing the syntax wrong about five times I got the boxes to point to the right stations. As for which station articles I write/edit, I can really write any type of station, rapid transit or commuter rail. I've even written some Amtrak stations. I just write what needs to be written. (The MBTA stations are nearly done too - only the Green Line "B" Branch stations (and possibly the Silver Line too) need to be written.) --TheCatalyst31 ^{Reaction•Creation} 22:51, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

It's clearly derived from Image:Tank Man (Tiananmen Square protester).jpg (or something very like it) which is a non-free image. Hut 8.5 06:32, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Copyright exists automatically on images unless explicitly disclaimed. The image was taken by a press photographer and it is highly likely that it is still copyrighted. Copyrighted images can only be used in a very limited set of circumstances on Wikipedia and use on userpages is explicitly excluded. I quoted the Wikipedia image above to show you what the copyright status of the "Tank Man" image was (and the image description there says it's copyrighted). I think it is unlikely that the image was deleted for political reasons since thousands of images are deleted every day for similar reasons. As far as the image deletion goes the question is irrelevant - if it violated policy it gets deleted. Hut 8.5 17:01, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

These rules were laid down by the Wikimedia Foundation in order to make Wikipedia's images compliant with U.S. copyright law, so you haven't got any grounds to complain. I don't want to engage in a discussion about why the user nominated the image for deletion as the arguments they advanced for doing so are valid. You shouldn't be using your userpage to promote your political views anyway. --Hut 8.5 19:39, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi Dan. Images comprised of unfree images (such as the one I just deleted on Iraqi revolutionaries) are not acceptable on Wikipedia. Upload them again, and you will be blocked. Please review Wikipedia:Fair use. fish&karate 11:37, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Wikis Take Manhattan

Wikis Take Manhattan Next: Saturday September 27

WHAT Wikis Take Manhattan is a scavenger hunt and free content photography contest aimed at illustrating Wikipedia and StreetsWiki articles covering sites and street features in Manhattan and across the five boroughs of New York City. The event is based on last year's Wikipedia Takes Manhattan, and has evolved to include StreetsWiki this year as well.

LAST YEAR'S EVENT

• Wikipedia:Wikipedia Takes Manhattan/Spring 2008 (a description of the results, and the uploading party)
• Commons:Wikipedia Takes Manhattan/Gallery (our cool gallery)

WINNINGS? Prizes include a dinner for three with Wikipedia creator Jimmy Wales at Pure Food & Wine, gift certificates to Bicycle Habitiat and the LimeWire Store, and more!

WHEN The hunt will take place Saturday, September 27th from 1:00pm to 6:30pm, followed by prizes and celebration.

WHO All Wikipedians and non-Wikipedians are invited to participate in team of up to three (no special knowledge is required at all, just a digital camera and a love of the city). Bring a friend (or two)!

REGISTER The proper place to register your team is here. It's also perfectly possible to register on the day of when you get there, but it will be slightly easier for us if you register beforehand.

WHERE Participants can begin the hunt from either of two locations: one at Columbia University (at the sundial on college walk) and one at The Open Planning Project's West Village office. Everyone will end at The Open Planning Project:

SEPTA Airport station

The navboxes were pointing to the Airport Terminals station for every station but 30th Street when I looked at it. I did a null edit on 30th Street Station, and it fixed itself. Try doing null edits on the other pages; they probably just need to be refreshed. (Melrose Park is probably fine because I edited it while I was checking the links). All the links are pointing to the Philadelphia International Airport Terminals (SEPTA station) for me, so this is probably just an issue of refreshing the pages.
