NY 308 Bike & Merge proposal
Howdy, anyway I never looked up 308. No one ever asked, I just wanted to point it out. Also, look up Bicycle Route 517, its from the state DOT. (I am serious.) Also, I have put List of Suffolk County (New York) Road proposals up for merge now that you've made the Rockland County Scenario-lists.Mitch32(20 Years of Life: Wikipedia 5:33) 17:29, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
Atlantic Branch
I don't understand why you reverted my edit to Atlantic Branch. It seems ridiculous to have seven different identical citations. Can you please explain your reasoning? Pi.1415926535 (talk) 00:26, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
Gotcha. Should I redo the cleanup (minus the table-breaking)? Pi.1415926535 (talk) 00:34, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
Okay, references are cleaned up and table is not broken. What happened before was I accidentally took out a line break and that killed it. You're welcome to take a look, and thanks for catching my error. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 00:57, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
Ah, thank you. That looks great. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 01:42, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
File:AK trains2.jpg
Hi Dan, "File:AK trains2.jpg" has been removed from List of rail accidents (1900–1949) by Δ (talk · contribs). I got terribly confused by their edit (see User talk:Δ#List of rail accidents (1900–1949), but I wonder if you might want to sort out the fair-use rationale and also correct the article name, please? Lists of rail accidents
Thanks, Dan. I think I'll leave it a bit before tackling the next lot, which will probably be to split off the 1940s, then start working back in 20 year chunks to 1880 or 1860.
Enjoy your vacation. Tim PF (talk) 22:47, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
- Will we see you at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC Saturday? Jim.henderson (talk) 13:40, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- Not unless I can stay in the Tri-State area past Easter. If you don't see any activity from me on April 20, 2011, then the answer is no, because I'll be driving back to Florida. FYI, I also took some pics of 36th Street (IND Queens Boulevard Line) and 75th Avenue (IND Queens Boulevard Line) stations that I'll have to upload when I get home. ----DanTD (talk) 14:44, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
Song lists
Hi Dan,
Years ago a bunch of song lists got userfied under my name following an AfD (See current lists at User:MrFizyx/songs). Some I've worked on, but most I haven't and in reality probably never will. It takes a lot of work and sources to make these lists into something that is really worthy of the wikipedia mainspace (I think List of car crash songs is a "decent" example). These lists seem to be popular. They continue to be edited by other users who find them. So, before I have them deleted, I'm trying to find new homes for them. You've edited one or more of these and seem to be an active editor here. Are you interested in any or all of these? -MrFizyx (talk) 15:55, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
- Nope, you're the first I've asked. Perhaps we can just move them to your user space if you're up for it. -MrFizyx (talk) 05:26, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Photos and notes in central Florida entries
Dan:
I am amused that there is a cadre of people who live to write and expand Wiki entries. I know the articles don't grow by themselves, but you seem to be a record breaker. Congratulations.
I live in Trilby, FL and, trying to follow Wiki guidelines, plan to continue to upgrade listings in our area. However, it appears that you have entered a good number of photographs for our communities, from the road. While these are valid, I have ones that may be a bit more characteristic of the area.
My question for you specifically, is: Is it acceptable / appropriate to replace your "factual but boring (smile)" photos with ones of my own, without violating your goals of so many photos or entries, etc.
I do not want to reduce any of your contributions (with edits / deletions), but I may have better photos. And I certainly don't wish to enter into a posting war.
Of course, I continue to add to or correct the text content of such sites, trying to adhere to Wiki standards.
Thank you for helping a newbe in this field.

Thank you for replying, but I don't understand. I looked up your reference and they did not seem to have any Trilby photographs. And I don't know if this is the proper manner to reply and continue this conversation. I am going to make a photo change of the Ridge Manor, Florida photo and see if 1) it works and if I know how, 2) if you agree that this is better, and 3) if you and others allow it. Again, I am afraid of stepping on toes or doing posting or editing wars. I am stepping into a "club" that has established members and I don't know if there are rules that I am breaking. Thanks again. Rkriley (talk) 23:01, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
OK, don't worry. I really don't know what I am doing. I don't know how to upload common photos, etc. I will try to learn by actually reading some instructions and FAQ here on Wiki and then try again. I DID find Ebyabe photos and don't understand why so many duplicates and "poor quality(smile)" photos are saved there. Is it a place to post all your photos on a particular subject? Thanks for your smiling patience. Rkriley (talk) 23:27, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Stop adding the bike routes
Ok, you're adding very trivial information on bike routes to articles with 1) no consensus at all, which is enough to cite disruption and 2) in a really unnecessary way. If you want to add bike route mentions, a link in see also is sufficient.Mitch32(Can someone turn on the damn air conditioning?) 02:35, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
- Point to what consensus you used to add them. Last I checked, there was none.Mitch32(Can someone turn on the damn air conditioning?) 02:44, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
- My overreacting is not a consensus, which you still have yet to point to me. You could just add it to the lead, then, but I don't think its necessary information. We aren't a travel guide.Mitch32(Can someone turn on the damn air conditioning?) 02:58, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
- Yes I have no consensus to point as well, but even after offering to just the lead only, even parts doesn't matter much. Just please add them to the lead nowhere else and I can stop screaming bloody murder about it.Mitch32(Can someone turn on the damn air conditioning?) 03:09, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
