"Your work" and name
[edit]- This is a free encyclopaedia and I have right to undo all your work if I don't agree with it, especially when it comes to article titles. You do not own articles and therefore you cannot tell me to stop undoing your work if I have contra argements. Not only that; you've said like I go around and undo all of your edits, when in fact I undid only one.
- It was what she would've gone by worths only for the period during which she lived in France. She called herself Maria Teresa while she lived in Spain, but that's unimportant. She is called Maria Theresia in Germany, Marie-Thérèse in France, Maria Teresa in Spain, Maria, Marija Terezija in my country, and Maria Theresa in English speaking countries. Since this is English language Wikipedia, we need to use English form of her name. Not to mention that Marie-Thérèse of Spain is half-French, half-English. If you insist on using French form of her name (which makes no sense here), then it should be either Marie-Thérèse d'Autriche or Marie-Thérèse d'Espagne. Surtsicna (talk) 18:51, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- When two users disagree, they can
- try to reach consensus on their own;
- request a move (user who proposes the new title requests the move) and then other users join the discussion.
When a user changes the title of article and the other user disagrees, status quo should be respected and the article should revert to the old title until a consensus is reached. Edit war is not allowed. Surtsicna (talk) 19:21, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- Please respect the status quo and leave the article where it was when you started editing. I am going to move this discussion to Talk:Maria Theresa of Spain. Surtsicna (talk) 23:27, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- No, she was born as María Teresa, not as Marie-Thérèse! Catherine of Aragon was born as Catalina, but we call her Catherine. Maria Theresa of Austria was born as Maria Theresia, but we call her Maria Theresa. Anglicization of names of princesses was and still is a common practice. It has nothing to do with not being able to pronounce a name. Surtsicna (talk) 23:30, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- How can you just ignore me? I am suggesting for a zillionth time that you go Talk:Maria Theresa of Spain, give your reasons and give contra arguments for my reasons, so that other users can decide. Is that so hard? If you are right, other users will decide in your favour, o you have nothing to worry about. However, I know that you're not right. Marie Antoinette is the name by which this queen is known in English. She is not called Marie Antoinette of Austria, because that would be a half-French, half-English title, and that's why the title you're proposing bothers me. Isabella I
[edit]Hello, Dalv89! I am really glad that someone is interested in Queen Isabella I! You've improved the article significantly. I noticed that there are many beautiful portarits of Isabella and that's why I was wondering: is there a reason why you chose as the lead portrait? My favourites are and . She is shown as a real queen regnant in both of these portraits (let alone the fact that she looks better :)) What do you think? Surtsicna (talk) 11:23, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

The article Connie Ramirez has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Ironholds (talk) 19:15, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Vibia Sabina does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Eric talk 03:04, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
