Howdy SanAnMan; thanks for your input! I'd like a link to the new thing that the Woodlawn Theater is, the Classic Theater. Is that OK? Or would you prefer I add a "New Venue Website" link?
- Well, you're closer to the ground to know what's really going on, but we need published reports to make these sorts of changes. The Woodlawn article includes mention of Classic, but Classic does not yet have a Wikipedia page. Perhaps working on getting a page up for them would be the right next step.
- But as long as the Woodlawn website link continues to properly go to a working website about the Woodlawn Theatre building, you can't simply replace it. The Classic's website is provided as a (primary source) reference in the Woodlawn article, so that should suffice for now. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 20:34, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
- I have removed that reference because the mySA article, a secondary source, serves the same purpose well, and the Classic Theatre website, which isn't a reliable source nor a secondary source, doesn't even appear to mention the Woodlawn Theatre. The mySA article also explains that the Classic Theatre is not a "new venue" of the Woodlawn Theatre but an independent theatre that just happened to move into a location that was previously used by the Woodlawn Theatre as an extension. Calling it a "new venue" and linking to it as such in the article on the Woodlawn Theatre would be introducing an error. Huon (talk) 20:47, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
