Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Dagui1929, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.
I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Finding an article
[edit]To find a good article to edit, check WikiProject Mass spectrometry, especially sections on articles by quality and importance: Wikipedia:WikiProject Mass spectrometry#Assessment; and articles by popularity: Wikipedia:WikiProject Mass spectrometry#Popular pages. There is also a tool that you can use to sort articles, for example Stub[1]and Start[2] class. Remember the goal is to move an article up two quality units: nothing to Start, Stub to C, or Start to B. --Kkmurray (talk) 03:02, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
Student Conversation(s)
[edit]Hey Dagui1929! I really wish this Wiki Project would be for easy for everyone in the class but at least we can help each other as the semester continues! Mokona72 (talk) 23:39, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
Hi, Dagui1929 I am your classmate from Mass spectrometry class. Hope we can make a good progress on the Wikiproject. Yilim (talk) 16:06, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
Proposed articles for Wiki Project
[edit]This is my list of potential 3-5 articles I would like to modify for the Wiki Project:
This article is classified as Start but it is of top importance in the MS project. I believe this article can be improved and new secondary references regarding this topic may be available in specialized databases.
This article is classified as Start and it is of Mid importance in the MS project. Further explanation regarding Mass chromatoghram may be useful.
This article is classified as Stub but it is of Mid importance in the MS project. It is linked to the LC-MS technique and it is possible to broaden the information regarding this ionization method.
This article is classified as Start and it is of Low importance in the MS project. To improve the quality of this article, additional references regarding microorganisms identification using REIMS may be used.
This article is classified as Start and it is of Low importance in the MS project. This soft ionization method is key for the analysis of biomolecules and it is one of the important topics in the Mass spectrometry class.

- Of these, I like iKnife the best. LCMS is also important and could use expanding. --Kkmurray (talk) 21:09, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
- My two top choices are Iknife and Liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry. --Dagui1929 (talk) 17:11, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
You have an overdue training assignment.
[edit]Please complete the assigned training modules. --Kkmurray (talk) 22:51, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you for the reminder. It is done already. --Dagui1929 (talk) 00:05, 22 February 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Don't forget to use the edit summary - especially on a big edit. Thanks. Kkmurray (talk) 21:42, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
