A tag has been placed on Druox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. JCutter (talk) 08:06, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
Advice on Autobiographies
[edit]I notice that one of the first articles you created appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.
The page you created about yourself has been or will shortly be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, but if you want to use the content from it, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. JCutter (talk) 08:08, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
- I've gone ahead and blanked your userpage (User:DRUOX), per WP:USER guideslines. Wikipedia is not a free webhost and you do not appear to be contributing at all to Wikipedia except to add content about yourself. DMacks (talk) 04:02, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
MfD nomination of User:DRUOX
[edit]User:DRUOX, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:DRUOX and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:DRUOX during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. DMacks (talk) 17:48, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
