[edit]

DPI was established in 1981 by Michel Robert, acclaimed management expert and bestselling business author. Having worked with and observed the critical thinking skills of successful CEOs and management teams for many years, Mike and his team decided to codify these thinking skills into robust, proven processes. For 35 years DPI have worked with over 3000 companies worldwide, imparting strategic thinking processes that allowed them to gain control over their competition for the long term.

A tag has been placed on Decision Processes International (DPI), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. -- Rrburke (talk) 13:25, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There have been two problems identified with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. RickinBaltimore (talk) 13:53, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Both the pages created are from the DPI business. DPI was established in 1981 by Michel Robert. DPI has worked for over 35 years with more than 3000 companies worldwide to provide Strategic Thinking Processes that allow them to gain control over their competition for the long term. Both the pages are to inform people of who Michel Robert is and what the business does. Evidence of DPI is: http://dpi-europe.com and evidence of Michel Robert on Candas website is: http://www.dpilogic.ca/michel-robert/

Decline reason:

It looks like you are confused as to the purpose of the Wikipedia. Wikipedia isn't a business directory. I encourage you to read WP:PROMO and WP:COI. You won't be unblocked if your goal is to write about DPI, but if you agree to refrain from writing about DPI or Michel Robert, and if you follow the instructions above, you are welcome to submit another unblock request. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I think we're both a little confused. We are trying to create an informative page on thought leader and business author, Michel Robert. This is not for promotion purposes, but a platform for those interested to understand the background of a best selling business author. I understand that the name proposed may be a little misleading, we were limited in choice as there is already a Michel Robert registered in another industry. Could you please advise me on what changes I need to make in order for this page to meet standards? I notice that other worldwide consultancy firms such as McKinsey & Company have a page, why has this been approved and not ours? Could you explain the differences to me?DPIEurope (talk) 10:32, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Again, that's not what Wikipedia is for. You creating an article about your business or leader constitutes promotion regardless of content. Protip: articles on the Big Four are not written the respective PR departments. MER-C 12:00, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I can tell you that just because other firms in your industry have pages does not automatically mean yours merits one too; each page is judged on its own merits. You also need to review conflict of interest as to why is is a problem for you to write about your own business or leader. You will also need to suggest a new username, as described above. 331dot (talk) 11:20, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your time, there's a clear misunderstanding. Based on your response can i request that both pages are deleted?
