August 2007

[edit]

Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Tyler Hansbrough. Readers looking for serious articles will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write (almost) whatever you want. A.C. Milan 2007-08

[edit]

Hi, I saw your message in AC Milan talk about A.C. Milan 2007-08. I've been helping editors to create that kind of article, like Chelsea F.C. 2007-2008. If you want help to add information on A.C. Milan 2007-08, I could help you. Please, let me know. Regards.--ClaudioMB 16:18, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Ironman5 large.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ironman5 large.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. βcommand 22:05, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Dark Knight

[edit]

Thanks for trying to help with The Dark Knight (film), but when we place an image in the article, it'd almost definitely be official. We'd never knowingly put up any unofficial images such as fan art or anything like that. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 02:45, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Helmet.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Helmet.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Vandalism warning

[edit]

Vandalism is against Wikipedia's policies. If you continue to vandalize articles as you did with Duke Blue Devils men's basketball, you will be reported to administrators and subsequently blocked from the site.

Psycho T wasn't vandalism, that's his nickname. If you don't even follow the sport then stop whining. DP08 (talk) 03:51, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I undid that edit when I realized my mistake. That doesn't change the fact that you vandalized Duke Blue Devils men's basketball. And far from whining, I am being a good Wikipedian by reverting vandalism when I see it and giving due warning to the offender. Fullmetal2887 (discuss me) 04:13, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sports trades

[edit]

Team details should not be changed until a trade has been finalized (i.e., received league approval and/or passed physicals). Any edits before official confirmation are speculative and not permitted per WP:CRYSTAL. Thanks --Madchester (talk) 21:38, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Tyler Zeller

[edit]

An editor has nominated Tyler Zeller, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tyler Zeller and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 22:00, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sports Articles

[edit]

Elliot is bare bones as well so I added him. Brandon seems to be sourced enough and just manages to meet notability. I apologize for any headaches I have caused and hope it doesn't seem like I'm picking on you. I myself have had articles I originally created that were later AFD'ed and some deleted (though granted one was by my request since I did some faulty research). :P Anyways, peace. -WarthogDemon 22:32, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1990s-US-hoops-bio-stub

[edit]

DP08, there is a reason why there's a delay between proposing a stub type and making one - to check that nothing's wrong with it. As was pointed out in the proposal for this stub type, it was recently decided that basketball stub templates would all be moved from -hoops- to -basketball-. As such, I've moved your new stub type to {{1990s-US-basketball-bio-stub}}. Grutness...wha? 01:08, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Template

[edit]

A template you created, Template:2008 North Carolina Tar Heels Depth Chart, has been marked for deletion as a deprecated and orphaned template. If, after 14 days, there has been no objection, the template will be deleted. If you wish to object to its deletion, please list your objection here and feel free to remove the {{deprecated}} tag from the template. If you feel the deletion is appropriate, no further action is necessary. Thanks for your attention. R'n'B (call me Russ) 23:32, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Balompié listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Balompié. Since you had some involvement with the Balompié redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. -- Tavix (talk) 15:57, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
