Speedy Deletes
[edit]Speedy deletion nomination of Gerb (pyrotechnics)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Gerb (pyrotechnics), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template hangon
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Александр Дмитрий (Alexandr Dmitri) (talk) 16:46, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Pyrotechnics (band)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Pyrotechnics (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. PinkBull 21:16, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
Stagecraft Nav Box
[edit]hi, i saw that you changed around the stagecreaft nav box alot, and i just reverted it. I do not feel that what you added was done so in the most graceful of ways, I also do not agree that everything you added should be in it (seeing we already have a navbox for run crew), as well as I do not agree with the things that you deleted or moved. please discuss on the talk page of the nav box so we can make the box better, but without being redundant.--Found5dollar (talk) 22:16, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification
[edit]Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:19, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Everyday People Cartoon.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Everyday People Cartoon.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:09, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

G'day, why was the template Template:Stagecraft-tasks split away from Wikipedia:WikiProject Stagecraft/to do? I couldnt find any relevant discussion about that. John Vandenberg (chat) 10:03, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
- In regards to your question, this template was supposed to link to Wikipedia:WikiProject Stagecraft/to do to fall more in line with the style of other WikiProjects (put the template on your userpage, only need to change the to do subpage to update everyone). There was no discussion as no project members were avail. (Stagecraft is a slow group) Frankly Template:Stagecraft-tasks could probably be deleted to save room. Most people in the stagecraft industry work 60+ hours, so page updates take time. DJSparky huh? 05:25, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
- Thx for the background. I propose doing a WP:history merge, putting the history of Template:Stagecraft-tasks back at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stagecraft/to do. The latter can be called as a template if required. I have added the todo list to the project banner here. John Vandenberg (chat) 05:43, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New 10,000 Challenge for Canada
[edit]Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile! Cheers. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 22 November 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Vanilla Ice, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Queen (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). [edit]Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from NFPA 1123 into NFPA 1126. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from page name; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted copied template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 22:54, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
An article you recently created, NFPA 1126, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Jmertel23 (talk) 23:07, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
Your draft article, Draft:NFPA 1126
[edit]Hello, DJSparky. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "NFPA 1126".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the db-afc
, db-draft
, or db-g13
code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 15:30, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
Custom signature fix needed
[edit]Hi there! You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.
The problem: Your signature contains a syntax error, specifically formatting tags that are in the wrong order.
The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.
- Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Remove anything in the Signature: text box.
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
- Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Change the signature as shown below, or make other edits to make the signature appear how you want it to appear.
- Click Save to update to your newly fixed signature.
Current signature:
<span style="border:1px solid blue;padding:1px;"> DJSparky</span> <small style="color:#008822;">huh?</small>
Fixed signature:
<span style="border:1px solid blue;padding:1px;">DJSparky</span> <small><span style="color:#008822;">huh?</span></small>
More information is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures or respond here. Thanks. – Jonesey95 (talk) 19:07, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
