Instructor Review 5/31

[edit]

This is a good page. You write very clearly

As Emma noted it looks like you have moved most but not all of your Sandbox article into the Mainspace. Please move it all asap so your article is in one space. It is confusing to have the latest version of the page in two places, doubly so it others start copy editing or enhancing.

Also, as Emma noted in comments on your sandbox version, you could usefully expand some of the sections where are presently very clear but quite short. Emma's suggestions are good. I previously suggested some additional sources so I will hold of on suggesting more, but e-mail me if you need more.

Your GeoMapApp bathymetric image would be much better if you annotated it with the names of features you refer to in the article. Also something is odd with the color scale since I do not see any of the expected "green" land where the South Shetland Islands are. I am not actually quite sure how you did this but I think you need to recreate it so there is a clear color change at the coastline.

What is the purpose of including a figure of Livingston and neighborhood Islands (basically half the South Shetland Islands? it seems unrelated to your article and you could just label these islands on your own GeoMapApp app

I just randomly checked one section for links to other Wikipedia pages. In Volcanism you could add links to Cenozoic and and calc-alkaline (there is an article on calc-alkaline magma series and wikipedia allows the link words and titles to be different - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Tutorial/Wikipedia_links)
