Finding more sources

[edit]

(This section is intended for my own use, not to start a discussion)

Problem: the best sourcing, Triple Exclam!!!, is self-published. That's a problem shared by many other chess biographies e.g. Mikhail Tal, and is compounded by WP:SYSTEMICBIAS (with Tate being Black, and the relative difficulty and expense of participating in GM-norm tournaments that attract more eyeballs and secondary coverage). There's no doubt in my mind as to notability, but sourcing (especially for the 70'-late 90' period) will be quite tough, as most of these newspaper articles aren't available online). Might take a while! DFlhb (talk) 13:52, 24 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Shabaaz

[edit]

One of the reasons why I started this draft, rather than contributing to the main article directly, is that my first step will be fleshing out the BLP based on Shabaaz 2017; but I need to also find independent sourcing for what I add, which'll take time.
