Speedy deletion nomination of In the Midst of Lions
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on In the Midst of Lions requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Davnor (talk) 14:43, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Indenting
[edit]Hi. I see you're relatively new. Welcome to Wikipedia! I was reading a discussion you were participating in (about a week and a half ago) and you weren't using any form of indented replies. You might be interested in reading wp:indentation. It's easier to read discussions when you respond to people by indenting one level further than they did. There are some examples on the link above. See also Help:Using talk pages#Indentation. Hope that helps. Killiondude (talk) 21:30, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- Fact that you are reading me discusssions is a tad creepy but oh well. : ) Like this?DCcomicslover (talk) 18:10, 14 March 2011 (UTC)DCcomicslover
- Well, you have to assume that with an active userbase of several thousand (if not in the hundreds of thousand) users your comments are going to be read at some point. :) And yes, you're starting to get the hang of indenting. Killiondude (talk) 05:45, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
Skillet reply
[edit]- Nice work. Two sources should be enough to handle any WP:UNDUE argument. Personally, I thought just one was good, but I was trying to follow consensus. Glad you found something.--3family6 (talk) 19:08, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

Deletion of Society's Finest
[edit]It was tagged as not notable by User:Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars, as you want to improve it, I've userfied it for you at User:DCcomicslover/Society's Finest. You might want to check through WP:BAND before considering a move back to article space. Ronhjones (Talk) 22:33, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Oh yeah... I didn't realize it was that crappy. Sweerness. Thank you for doing that for me. Ill start my work on it soon. DCcomicslover (talk) 23:00, 25 April 2011 (UTC)Dccomicslover
Thanks for the help with the cleanup, but just so you know, grunge is a hardcore/metal/indie rock fusion (per several reliable sources), so grunge bands belong on the list the same way metalcore bands do. Other than that, thanks for your help and keep up the good work.--Invisiboy42293 (talk) 03:22, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
- They may have basis as that but they are completelly differant. Core music relies on a speedy tempo, occasional blast beats and ausually a down tuned guitar. I'm a die hard Core msic listener. I know my stuff. I guess I'll ave to hop into the debate now... sigh. And my wikibreak was going so well. DCcomicslover (talk) 16:13, 27 October 2011 (UTC)DCcomicslover

Request for article review: I Am Empire
[edit]I recently moved a userspace draft for I Am Empire to the mainspace and need someone other than me to review it and make sure everything is fine. Care to do the honors?--Invisiboy42293 (talk) 05:13, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- Just did! I haven't removed the template yet. Looks good. The history section may need some expansion, for you know, tours and stuff. Other than that it looks good! DCcomicslover (talk) 16:32, 8 February 2012 (UTC)DCcomicslover
Symphonic or not - BETRAYING THE MARTYRS
[edit]The band is definetely symphonic in my opinion, there's tons of orchestration on most of the songs, this is not just deathcore or metalcore, the keys are in my opinion really important to help define the what btm sounds like. It's not whitechapell, it's closer to bands like septic flesh, flesghgod apocalypse... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.158.210.192 (talk) 09:07, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- I'm not going to deny they have some symphonic eements in their songs. But to label them orchestral or symphonic metal is to put them in the same class as... like epica. They have some elements of such but that's not their genre. Thanks for discussing this on here by the way DCcomicslover (talk) 15:33, 22 March 2012 (UTC)DCcomicslover

Request for comment on Talk:List of Christian metal bands
[edit]Me and 3family6 are trying to decide how best to break the list up by subgenre, similar to what I did on the punk and hardcore lists. I'm looking to add more perspectives to the conversation, so perhaps you could stop by and opinionate on it if you ever get the chance?--Invisiboy42293 (talk) 02:42, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
The article In the Midst of Lions has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- A disbanded band, which appears to lack WP:NMUSIC.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I am One of Many (talk) 18:32, 5 March 2013 (UTC)
