Information icon Hello. Some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Celtic Frost, have conflicted with our neutral point of view and/or verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 14:26, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

All of the sources say that their genre is black metal, I don’t know what about them is extreme. DCMOIWFY (talk) 16:09, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
And you also reverted all of my changes on other articles which I do not appreciate since I put time into correcting them. DCMOIWFY (talk) 16:19, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
AllMusic says that the band's album Pandemonium is "one of the classic extreme metal albums of all time." They say the band is death metal, black metal, and thrash metal (early), all of which are extreme metal genres. Calling the band extreme metal is an acknowledgement that they stretch genres from black metal to death metal, and many other things including symphonic and electronic elements. They have even been called avant garde metal. "Extreme metal" is an umbrella term which includes many of the harshest metal subgenres. If Celtic Frost cannot be called extreme metal because their style is wider than that, then the only umbrella term left is "heavy metal". Binksternet (talk) 18:57, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am not a sockpuppet of any account. I created my username a long time ago as a kid as an acronym that I forgot. I don't know who Forguese is. I'm just a new editor and I have never made an account before DCMOIWFY (talk) 21:34, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's decidedly false.-- Ponyobons mots 21:43, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from adding, removing or changing genres, as you did to Trust Company (band), without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. The lead genre is supposed to be broad. Also, your edits seem very similar to SFCME's edits. See WP:SOCKPUPPET. If you are the same person, using more than one account to make disruptive edits or to make people think you are a different person is unacceptable. I don't know who that is, and i'm only changing back to what it first was because genre warriors keep changing it with unrelated sources. Most sources i find call them Nu metal or Alternative metal. If it was really a hard rock band they would be referred to more as hard rock in sources like articles about Godsmack or Linkin Park. DCMOIWFY (talk) 15:27, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
