Forgive

Conflict! Here in wikipedia. I think we wikipedians are family. Let us forgive. That's the tip I want to give to you. Arguments, flamming and anger only makes it worse. End the conflict. --Cyril Thomas 18:47, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

Qho wishes you a happy editing day!!

Hi Cyrilic, this image is missing information on who the original photographer was and where he gave his permission to use it under the GFDL. Scanning a picture from a newspaper unfortunately doesn't give you the right to put it under a free license by yourself. --88.134.45.6 02:07, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi wikifriend, Thanks for your mail, I am sorry I used the wrong tag. I actually scanned it from a comic book flap, and unfortunately they didn't give any information except a logo of froost or something like that. I don't remember, because I scanned it while I was a student, and an ardent fan of Asterix comics :). Well, I just changed the licencing tag to -Comiccover Hope that would settles it. Thanks again. --Cyril Thomas 17:14, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Yojimbo.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Yojimbo (movie poster).jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. Thank you. --195.113.166.134 09:45, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Corrected the info. I guess it's scanned from Sekai Nippo Newspaper Thank you for pointing it out. --Cyril Thomas 16:41, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Image:Leastub.jpg listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Leastub.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Orphaned fair use image (Image:Hartswardvd.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Hartswardvd.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Quentin X 12:18, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Hi Cyril. It wasn't that there was no source on the image, it was that there isn't a page that it is on now that the original Hart's War poster with both Willis and Farrell has taken over. I'm going to re-orphan it from today. If you can put it on another page then un-orphan it... (Quentin X 11:51, 11 October 2006 (UTC))

Reg: Grizzled Giant Squirrels

Hi,

I came across an usage of the picture of Grizzled Giant Squirrel (uploaded by you) in the Kerala page. It is a fact that they are endangered (only 300 in number [1]), and there is only one sanctuary in South India, as of now (Senbagathope Giant Squirrel Santuary, which is in Tamil Nadu). I'd like to verify the source of location of the photograph uploaded by you. Was it really taken in Kerala? If yes, that may contradict the official records of their Habitat. Please clarify as soon as possible. Happy editing -- Chez (Discuss / Email)06:58, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

Dear Chezhiyan, Greetings, yes, Grizzled Giant Squirrels are certainly an endangered species, found not only in Tamil Nadu but Marayoor too, in Kerala. The picture of GGS was taken by my friend Vijayan P.P. In Chinnar Sanctuary, there are lot of endangered flora and fauna still thrive. If you go to Marayoor, you will be amazed by its richness. Best wishes, --Cyril Thomas 02:15, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. I'm really happy to hear that they survive beyond their sanctuary. Cheers. --06:29, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Award

The Original Barnstar
For many contributions with limited reward (you have a huge Wiki-portfolio and no awards!), I present you with this Original Barnstar. Sharkface217 01:09, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Welcome

You are quite welcome for the barnstar. Hopefully in the future others recognize your work on Wikipedia. In fact, I'd suggest you try running for administrator sometime. Sharkface217 02:35, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome!

Hey Cyril! No problem -- I have a tool that makes it easier to do disambiguation. It's a wonderful thing. If you're at all interested in disambiguation, you might want to look here and here. Happy editing! --Tkynerd 03:16, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

No problem

Daniel is actually my adopter, but not to worry. Was planning to do some more work on the Leon Radzinowicz article but got slightly slowed down working out which Knight category he went into. I'll take another look at it over the next couple of days, time permitting. One Night In Hackney 20:04, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Heather Martin, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article is a repost of either already posted material, or of material that was previously deleted under Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion. If you can indicate how Heather Martin is different from all other articles, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}}, and also put a note on Talk:Heather Martin saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we ask you to follow these instructions. SUBWAYguy 00:51, 28 December 2006 (UTC) ==The article made an editorial conflict, while I was editing and working on the page, it seems the page deleted as it is progressing. Heather Martin is a minor celebrity with her song "When are you coming home" and millions would be checking Wikipedia for her. Thank you. --Cyril Thomas 01:08, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Your welcome

BTW, you should use the "Move" tab if your going to move the observatory page, as the history will then be moved along with the page. That page almost looks good enough to send to WP:GA, though they'll probably want more refs.--Rayc 20:12, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Recent edit to Kyril

Thank you for your recent edit to Kyril. Your edit included one or more links to the page Greek, which is a disambiguation page. This type of page is intended to direct users to more specific topics. Ordinarily we try to avoid creating links to disambiguation pages, since it is preferable to link directly to the specific topic relevant to the context. You can help Wikipedia by revising the links you added to Kyril to refer directly to the most relevant topic. User talk:24.199.195.254 keep vandalizing this page. I think we should request blocking. Oh and sorry if we got into a bit of an edit war there, I was trying to use a much earlier version of the page where everything was ok. Charleenmerced Talk 19:10, 22 March 2007 (UTC)Charleenmerced

Yes, a lot or reverts, (because I am an old school patroller) that's one reason I decided to give you a medal. You are doing a great job.--Cyril Thomas 10:05, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
