User talk:Cypapaper
Welcome!
Hello, Cypapaper, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Smithsonian Institution does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.
There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Aunt Entropy (talk) 07:45, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Your question at Talk:Evolution
[edit]Just answering the question you left on the Evolution talk page:
- Why is there no editing capabilities on this article? Cypapaper (talk) 07:37, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Due to vandalism, it's been protected. You can about this here. Generally, any article with a padlock on the upper right corner will have some sort of editing restriction, and you can see what sort of restrictions by clicking the padlock. Cheers, Ben (talk) 07:49, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit]I re-added it because it was arbitrarily deleted. :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Petrafan007 (talk • contribs) 21:03, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
- If my latest entry gets deleted, please back me up on this. I have entered information that is correct per both policies —Preceding unsigned comment added by Petrafan007 (talk • contribs) 23:55, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- I have deleted this, per WP:SELFPUB -- the source is blatantly unreliable & partisan (see also WP:RS#Extremist and fringe sources) and should not be given WP:UNDUE (i.e. any) weight. HrafnTalkStalk 00:29, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. The project's content policies require that all articles be written from a neutral point of view, and not introduce bias or give undue weight to viewpoints. Please bear this in mind when making edits such as your recent edit to Christianity and abortion. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. – Alex43223 T | C | E 04:25, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. – Alex43223 T | C | E 04:25, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
Please desist in editing against the talkpage WP:CONSENSUS, as you are doing on Kent Hovind. Thank you. HrafnTalkStalk 06:15, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
