Hi Cynthia! You have made a great start on your page. I think you've done a good job of taking a complex topic and describing it in reader-friendly ways. I especially liked how you separated and described the dorsal versus the ventral vagal complex. Here are my comments/suggestions:

1. Some of the language you use is still a bit confusing and could use either a hyperlink or further description. Specifically, you discuss vagal tone and say "phylogenetically arranged" and I was unsure what these meant.

2. You briefly mention the implications of polyvagal theory in the introduction, but I thought a whole section devoted to this topic at the end would be helpful. Beyond just knowing what the theory is, I think users would appreciate knowing why the theory matters.

3. I think the introductory section could be a bit clearer. I was a bit confused reading this section because it contained so much information. Perhaps you could start with a brief summary of the theory followed by a description of the vagal nerve, its parts, and what it does or something like that? All the information you include in the opening seems important, it just may be helpful to create sections or separate it out a bit?

Overall, great job though! I feel so much smarter after reading this! : ) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nikki loyola (talkcontribs) 22:04, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
