A matter of formatting characters
[edit]Hello Curiosity,
I noticed that the comments that you made in Talk:Colonization of the Moon were unusually formatted. So I thought you might not know a formatting instruction of two. This is something I failed to realize when I started to contribute to wikis. Leaving the first space in a line blank disables the previous formatting commands so I saw your comments on [[Talk:Colonization of the Moon]] in typewriter like font with no automatic word wrapping. To use the formatting previously selected for a page, put your first letter in the first space of the line. To indent an entire paragraph a few spaces put a colon (:) in the first space of the first line of the paragraph. The next paragraph begins after a pressing of the enter key (or line feed key).
- To indent two, three or four times as far from the left margin use two, three, or four colons. To append your account name to a comment on a talk page, type four tilde characters ( ~~~~ ) at the end of the comment.
How do you like Wikipedia editing so far?
