P.S. Pro-abortion and anti-aboriton are simplistic and inaccurate terms. For the most part, pro-choicers would actually like it if there were fewer abortions, so they're not pro-abortion. On the other hand, pro-lifers usually allow rape victims to abort, which shows clearly that they're trying to take away a woman's right to choose to have sex without being burdened with compulsory pregnancy. OK. Not sure about the first part, but I understand what you mean in the second.

Lots of people who support the choice to abort would nontheless prefer that women avoid getting pregnant in the first place if they're not willing to carry that pregnancy to term. Prevention is the best cure. That's why the same people who support the right to an abortion also support access to comprehensive sex ed and contraception, both of which reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies, hence the number of abortions. In essence, both sides largely agree that it would be nice if there were fewer abortions. The difference is that the pro-choicers want to stop abortions by removing the demand for them, while the anti-choicers want to remove the supply. The former is, obviously, more humane.

Speaking of humane, you do know that my sockpuppet template is accurate and that you don't have a right to simply remove it. Come on, you can do better than that. Alienus 14:57, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I'm not trying to get you to quit Wikipedia. I'm trying to get you to draw inside the lines so that they don't throw you out. Sanity about the subject is a start, but you also need sanity about the medium. Sock puppets and ban evasion are not a good way to make friends and influence people on Wikipedia.
