isleofwight.co.uk
[edit]Hello Culverdene. Please do not keep re-adding the external link www.isleofwight.co.uk to the Isle of Wight article. Wikipedia is not a linkfarm and the article does not need another external link to a site promoting tourism on the island. It probably doesn't even need the 'official' one it already has. In addition, please note that once an addition has been reverted, it should not be reinserted as part of an edit war - please read WP:BRD and WP:3RR. Thanks. I assume you have turned off your email option so have tried to leave you a message via talk. Hope you get it ok. I have no idea what an edit war is but would like you to stop deleting this link. ThanksCulverdene (talk) 11:36, 22 July 2014 (UTC)
- I have opened a discussion about this issue at Talk:Isle of Wight#External links. Please enter into the discussion there. Thanks. PaleCloudedWhite (talk) 07:59, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

- Thank you for reviwing this so quickly. I'm afraid my lack of Wikipedia experince is showing. This event did get a good amount of coverage before and after, from what I feel are independent sources. I have tried to add some further citations (is this the corect way to demonstrate the sources?) although two of the ones I've added look like they are flagged for missing detail. I will try and find a tutorial to work out how these can be modified. If you have any duggestions I'd be grateful.
- Cheers. Culverdene (talk) 10:51, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
- I have added more external references and corected the ones that I had not done properly. I'm learning as I go. Will try to resubmit now. Cheers. Culverdene (talk) 13:07, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
