- What help is it that you are seeking? 331dot (talk) 06:55, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- I am disabling your help request, to prevent other editors from spending time coming to review it while there is no indication what help you want. Please restore the request if and when yousay what help you want. JBW (talk) 13:15, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- I was talking about the "reliable sources" and "Relationship between the subject, the article, and Wikipedia" guidelines. Sorry for not explicitly saying that. Csg95 (talk) 17:32, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
Morning!
I've removed the PROD tag on the above article. I disagree with the reasoning given - dead sources are not a reason to delete the article, and could be easily recovered (as I've done <nowiki> here, and there is a weak claim to WP:GNG, and I suspect there may be more sources. Take to WP:AFD if you disagree (and I'm borderline on doing so), but I think there's enough there that PROD or CSD is not appropriate. Mdann52 (talk) 09:17, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- Alright, I understand. The dead sources were a reason I put a prod tag, but also because of that "a9" rule. If the sources could be restored, then that's cool. But does it/will it violate WP:GNG? Csg95 (talk) 17:38, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- Potentially not... but personally I feel that's a discussion for AfD, not for PROD, unless there are clearly no sources on there (or they are all primary sources, such as the artists own website or promo pieces). In this case, there are some reliable sources on the article, I don't think it will survive AfD, but there's always a chance someone over there turns something else up! Just wanted to make you aware sources being dead isn't really grounds to PROD an article unless they cannot be recovered and you have reasons to doubt their authenticity.
