Re:Struggling again...

Yes, we already had a few photos by this time last year. Hopefully some will turn up in the next few days; if not, we still have a couple of photos from Maldonado's Venezuelan demonstration.--Midgrid(talk) 23:16, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

I agree! Good thinking.--Midgrid(talk) 23:01, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
I've sent the delivery request to MessageDeliveryBot. Fingers crossed!--Midgrid(talk) 17:04, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
...and I get mine two minutes later! Good timing. ;) --Midgrid(talk) 17:22, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Yes - sorry, that was my mistake. I usually don't substitute the templates, but having done the F1POM one earlier, I did it again without thinking.--Midgrid(talk) 17:42, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I've checked some of the "errors" and they've all been false reports so far. I also noticed that the the submission form there is an option to exclude users who have not edited in over three months - might this be an option for future isses?--Midgrid(talk) 17:59, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Yes, it's three months or nothing.--Midgrid(talk) 18:10, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
If the users do return, then they'll automatically be sent a copy of the next issue anyway.--Midgrid(talk) 19:06, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Nationwide Series

Are you all going to include the NASCAR Nationwide Series in the table on Portal: Current events/Sports? I'm asking because I seen the thread about it on the portals talk page. --Nascar199601:06, 6 February 2011 (UTC)

Okay, I wanted to know before I considered adding this month's races like I did with the Sprint Cup Series. Nascar1996 01:17, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
Similar to the portal: Shoudn't the post race point standings be included after the Daytona 500? Nascar1996 20:52, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Okay. Nascar1996 21:06, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks

Oops - thanks for picking up the errors! 4u1e (talk) 15:50, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

Many thanks

For keeping the results on the cycling season articles up-to-date. It actually saves me a TON of work, and I prefer to write prose anyway. Thanks a bunch! Green-eyed girl (Talk · Contribs) 20:22, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

Nice job on the lead for 2011 Tirreno–Adriatico, which passed GA in the blink of an eye. Saved me from having to whip one up. See, prose writing's not that hard! ;) Green-eyed girl(Talk · Contribs) 03:37, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Haven't recovered yet

From that late late goal... I knew if Arsenal put out their best team, we'd have no chance - but that weaker selection gave us an opportunity. When our best shot on goal hit Mr Squeaky square in the mush, I thought it was over, but then our supersub did the job. The replay earns us enough money to cover next year's losses as well as this year's. Awesome!!!! I'm betting that Wenger chooses a better team for the replay though... Bretonbanquet(talk) 00:36, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

I'd be ecstatic about breaking Wenger's record, even though he said some nice things about us after today's game. As you say, let's hope they have a really tough game leading up to the replay, and who knows what'll happen? Man Utd in the quarter final! I'd have to go and lie down in a dark room if that happened ;) Bretonbanquet (talk) 00:49, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Oh yes! If Man Utd put out that team against us, we'd beat them and no mistake. Arsenal played better today than Man Utd did yesterday - even Arsenal fans don't seem to think their team played badly against Orient. So... semi-finals here we come! Hahah... Bretonbanquet (talk) 01:05, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Not this time :( But from what I've seen, Arsenal are being really flattered by this scoreline. How they haven't gifted us a goal yet with their Keystone Cops defending, I'll never know x-( Football.. ugh! Bretonbanquet (talk) 21:25, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
Don't blame you - Arsenal are just being really irritating. Old Firm derbies usually have the edge over most ties anyway!Bretonbanquet (talk) 21:30, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
Diouf sent off?! Well, I'm shocked - he's such a pleasant, even-tempered chap! Bretonbanquet (talk) 23:54, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
He's just a liability. I don't understand why any club would take him on. Would you want him at Wolves? :)Bretonbanquet (talk) 00:07, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Well said! And that was a great victory - that's the kind of form that will keep you up... keep the faaaiiitthhh!!Bretonbanquet (talk) 00:18, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Sounds to me like a game you can win - Spuds lost to Blackpool not so long ago and they're shaky when they're expected to win. Picking up points will see a steady climb - hopefully there'll be a team that starts dropping like a stone, there's usually one, and that'll help too. I think Wigan might go this time, but the other two spots are anyone's guess. It's so close!Bretonbanquet (talk) 00:29, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, I'd be sorry to see Holloway/Blackpool go down as well - I'd far rather get rid of Wigan and Satan's West Ham. I have a hunch Blackburn haven't finished dropping - losing to Wigan then getting hammered by Villa - relegation form! Fulham could slip, Everton have lost a few players to injury - Even if I were a betting man, I'd be keeping my money in my pocket!Bretonbanquet (talk) 00:42, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Everyone loves a stroppy feud! Yes, I like Mark Hughes, but Fulham are terrible away from home. If your lot could pick up a few points on your travels, it would definitely keep you up. Your home form is decent enough! Bretonbanquet(talk) 00:51, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Very true. What is it with teams whose name begins with W this season? Someone should tell them it's not about alphabetical order! Bretonbanquet (talk) 00:59, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Hope not! I'm the newest Arsenal hater after that ass Bendtner thought it'd be funny to mock our fans this evening. They should be ashamed that 9000 Orient fans were louder than 50,000 Arsenal fans... "5-0, and you still don't sing... 5-0 and you still don't sing..." haha.. Bretonbanquet (talk) 01:07, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
"I tell ya, honestly, I will love it.. I will love it if they beat them" hahaha.. I always think of Keegan's rant when I want a team to lose! If Barca put Arsenal out of the Champions League, then *cough* Man Utd put them out of the FA Cup, I'll be happy :D Bretonbanquet (talk) 01:19, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Oh yes. Tempting! To profit from Arsenal misery! Bretonbanquet (talk) 01:34, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

You lot don't mind making it difficult for yourselves, do you?? Hahaha, seriously, I thought you were goners at several points. When that Hunt goal went in, I was punching the air, so God knows what you were doing! Bit sad for Blackpool though, I'd have liked them to stay up too. Major congrats though - make it a bit more comfortable next year!Bretonbanquet (talk) 17:38, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Luckily, half-time scores don't matter! I always think that fans of the big clubs like Man Utd and Chelsea haven't really lived until they've gone through a final-day relegation nail-biter like that. They have it so easy! And I didn't know that about Blackpool - is this because Fulham had Zoltan Gera sent off? If it works out for Blackpool, it'll be a great experience for their fans - good luck to them. Bretonbanquet (talk) 17:58, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
Exactly, I just didn't know where the next goal was coming from and the ups and downs were incredible. And yeah, Birmingham too! Europa League and the Championship. I wonder if they and Blackpool (assuming it's confirmed) will go for it and try and get as far as they can, or just concentrate on bouncing back up. Bittersweet! Bretonbanquet (talk) 18:07, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
I have a funny feeling that if there's another five-club last-day nailbiter, you'll be involved again! Secretly you all must love it ;) Yeah, it's a lot more games, and if the league starts badly for them, maybe Blackpool or Birmingham might not worry too much about Europe. It'll be fun finding out though :) Bretonbanquet (talk) 19:07, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Photos on German Wikipedia

Gamma, I've noticed that a few drivers have had photos uploaded onto the German-language Wikipedia, but have not been uploaded on Wikimedia Commons. (Bianchi, Wittmann and Vernay to name three) I know you have a more native lingual ability of German than what I have, so can you enquire this guy to put them onto Commons, for the ability to post on other language versions. Thanks for the MCN link, very useful for the talk page. The IP has been back, it now transpires that he works for the web site -no surprise? I've left him a long comment, he may not like it, but I've given him links to all the appropriate policies I could find. He may be back when the protection expires, we'll have to watch for that one.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 20:40, 10 March 2011 (UTC)

2011 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season

Edit by 217.124.245.61 - Bautista is DNS? Is that correct - according to MotoGP.com he didn't qualify, so should that be DNQ? Ronhjones  (Talk)19:11, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

(WP:JAGUAR) Does it not all depend on when he crashed and had to withdraw? I am of the idea that if it happened prior to quali, then it should go down as either Withdrew, Injured or similar; if it happened during quali, then yes DNQ; and if something happens after quali but before the race, it's a Did Not Start? Africa vs African

Every article calls it African Cup of Nations, not Africa. So please stop reverting my edits.Intoronto1125 (talk) 22:04, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

So are you suggesting we move the pages? Intoronto1125 (talk) 22:30, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
Point taken. Who do you see winning the 2012 African Cup of nations? Intoronto1125 (talk) 22:47, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
I am surprised Egypt is almost out! hard to believe. I see a surprise winning it too maybe Gabon? Are you a soccer fan or any sport fan? Intoronto1125 (talk) 01:27, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
Egypt is know for slow starts, they started slow and almost qualified for South Africa 2010. I want Central African Republic to qualify so badly!. Yes samething applies to me, but some sports I cannot follow on television (like curling) but do contribute to articles on wikipedia. Yes, it is disappointing, but I'm not sure what we can do. If we deliver the newsletter manually at this point, everyone could end up receiving two copies! Football champions

Hi! Look out for championships being decided around Europe (and other continents as well if possible). I just noticed that FC Copenhagen won the Danish title during the last week (see 2010–11 Danish Superliga), and also within the last month APOEL was crowned in Cyprus and probably some other minor countries. The best source is to check history of 2011–12 UEFA Champions League (and likewise 2011–12 UEFA Europa League for cup winners).--Nitsansh (talk) 23:43, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

How the hell

did you get today's update done so fast? I was following live updates on the web, and the second I saw Cunego named the winner, I pulled up the Lampre season page...where you'd already made the necessary edit. The timestamp was exactly the same as the time I saw on the live update. Dangit, can't I scoop you *once*? :-P No, but really, especially with the manner in which he won, not having been with the first group until literally the very end, how on earth did you get it done so fast? Green-eyed girl (Talk · Contribs)15:23, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

how the hell redux...here I am clicking refresh on gazzetta for the intermediate GC to be posted, yet you've already got it? How do you have it before the race itself does? Green-eyed girl(Talk · Contribs) 15:15, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

F1 '75

Hahaha, he seems to have lost his marbles or something. He's been involved in the debate, seen what everyone has said, and now he's on some revert-edit-war trip. We're going to have to shop him, I think - any good work he does isn't worth this. Plus Pyrope is going to blow his top ;) Bretonbanquet (talk) 18:01, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, for certain. I've already got an SPI case outlined if an admin says that's more appropriate, and I can add the details to any report we make at ANI. Maybe Pyrope would like to do the deed, since he's itching to do it(!) we could see what he says.Bretonbanquet (talk) 18:09, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
Hahaha, I think you're right. I'll drop him a line. Bretonbanquet (talk) 18:14, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I agree. There was a time when he was doing some useful work, but I don't really see that any more. He did threaten to kill me a year or so ago, and I haven't forgotten that either. His time is up, methinks. Bretonbanquet(talk) 18:20, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Template...

Do you believe that there should be a template, such as Template:2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup? I find it pointless. Look at the season article for the races. This is included on every race article so far this year. --Nascar1996 (talkcontribs) 19:32, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

Marc VDS

Crap, I just realized what I did wrong. I loaded the Race Facts on the GT1 Media Site while going through the results to see the reasons for retirement, but I failed to notice that I had accidentally loaded the Race Facts for Abu Dhabi, where the 40 Marc VDS Ford did not start the Championship Race. I've corrected it.The359 (Talk) 19:07, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

Well I'm like you, GT1's live steam of the races no longer works on the US following Zolder, so I never saw the incidents. I merely go off of the race reports, then use the Race Facts to try and figure out the cause of retirements since it's not listed in the PDFs. The359 (Talk) 19:14, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

There's almost nothing I hate more than an edit conflict
