Hi these are some comments i had on your draft. You did a good job explaining how how tea became popular in china so far. It flows well and its easy to understand. Your topic is interesting and i like how it connects back to class. However i feel that what you have so far is vague and you could add a lot more to it. For example, you say that the tang and song dynasties are the most exciting for tea- why is this true? What major developments in tea cultivations occurred? ANother place i feel you could add more is about the tea drinking ceremonies. Maybe you could give details about what they are like and when they happen or why they are important. Also i think that maybe you could create sections to talk about tea as a medicine and tea as a social factor since you talk about how tea plays a role in both. Lastly, i saw that you didn't have any citations linked to what you wrote. You should go back in and add in some ciations from where you recived the information from. Good start overall and good luck! Khatijajaffer (talk) 22:17, 15 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I think this would be a very exciting topic, because in Wikipedia Asian cuisines are not dealt with much detail. I remember the great taste of when I had the tea that you shared for the food share, and also tea I had when I went to China and Hong Kong, so I would like to know much more about tea in China. Regarding your draft, I would like to see your draft split into sections, so that you have a clear navigation of which sections you want to add to, and which sections you want to create. Some things you could add in relation to our class is how early agriculture in China affected the development of tea culture. What flora grew in ancient China along the Huang and Yangtze river, and does it have a connection to tea? etc. etc. Also, did tea develop with the elite class, or did peasants have a chance to drink tea on a routine basis? I think those are some of the questions that you can try to shoot at when you decide which sections you want to write on. Cheers! --9jwchoi (talk) 02:04, 16 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
