Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Crystallinesheen, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Brianda and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.
I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. [edit]Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Talk:Catahoula Leopard Dog, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Please stop posting your Wiki Ed course article evaluation on the article's talk page. That's not what the article talk page is for. We don't need to know your opinion of the article. If you have specific suggestions on how the article can be improved then feel free to discuss them. Meters (talk) 08:56, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- Crystallinesheen, would you kindly stop posting your 'article assessment' there? Brianda (Wiki Ed), could I ask you kindly to explain to Crystallinesheen why that is inappropriate? Many thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:14, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Crystallinesheen, The talk page of an article is where you can connect with other editors in the community and discuss improvements to the article. The article evaluation is an exercise for your own learning, and meant to stay in the evaluate an article sandbox page. It seems you already added that to the correct page.
- If your edits have been removed it's best to look at the edit summaries in the history tab of the page, to see the reason and engage with the editor if you don't understand why it happened. Continually adding your content to the page is disruptive editing and can lead to edit warring. We want to avoid that. When in doubt, start a discussion or use the get help button on the dashboard. Looping in @DBowie.
- Apologies @Meters, @Justlettersandnumbers. Brianda (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:51, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- No worries. I understand this was done with good intentions, and I'm not trying to chase them away or give them a hard time. I only posted here because they restored it after the first undo. Meters (talk) 19:32, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
