Amar Kumar Nayak (born 15 May 1973) is an Indian politician affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly from the Barchana constituency in the 2024 elections.

Amar Kumar Nayak was born on 15 May 1973 in Barchana, Odisha. He pursued his education locally and became actively involved in community service. He is married to Smt. Namita Dash and resides in Bhubaneswar.

Political Career

Nayak began his political journey with the BJP, contesting the 2019 Odisha Legislative Assembly election from Barchana, where he narrowly lost to Amar Prasad Satpathy of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD). Despite his defeat, Nayak remained committed to his constituency, engaging in development projects and supporting local needs.

In the 2024 Odisha Legislative Assembly election, Nayak made a comeback, securing 71,926 votes and defeating BJD candidate Varsha Priyadarshini by a margin of 6,310 votes. His victory was credited to his grassroots engagement and continuous efforts to address the concerns of his constituents.
