[edit]Hello, I'm Dormskirk. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Coats Group have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Dormskirk (talk) 20:50, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
Hello, Cronoscuervo. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Coats Group, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Dormskirk (talk) 20:51, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Coats Group, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. - Controversy section is not objective, also irrelevant for Coats history. Cronoscuervo (talk) 21:31, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
- You must confirm, before anything else, that you are not connected with the company. Dormskirk (talk) 21:36, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
- I'm trying to add information from press releases found in Search Engines (e.g. https://us.fashionnetwork.com/news/Coats-acquires-texon-as-athleisure-footwear-market-booms,1421403.html). If you had already removed text with conflicts from the History section, would you please remove the COI maintenance tag? I will not make any further changes at this time. Cronoscuervo (talk) 22:10, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
- I have now added something on Texon and Rhenoflex. As I say, you must confirm, before anything else, that you are not connected with the company (or make the disclosures required on the article talk page). Dormskirk (talk) 23:31, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
