Trivium

[edit]

Not really sure what im doing seeing as you dont have a talk page already =S. Anyway, a criticism section for Trivium I'm sure will get shot down by the millions of trivium fanboys, unless it had a fair load of decent, non-biased criticism (though id be much more content to provide something along the lines of encyclopedia dramatica's coverage on trivium =D). What would you include in this criticism? The metallica "influence"? I think what I said in my comment in the genre section on the talk page should definitely be mentioned. How stupid... You do have a point. There was a criticism section, but it had a fair amount of POV statements (from my estimation of it) that had no citations to back them up. I suppose, if it were me, I would find articles or reviews from metal publications and/or websites that cannot be edited by anyone (ironically, wikipedia does not allow you to cite a website anyone can edit as a source... irony, no?). I suppose I would quote varying negative reviews from the metal-archives (I don't know if I can source them, though.). Generally, the negative reviewers said they have no songwriting ability, horrible vocals (in the latest album, one reviewer swore he was imitating James Hetfield.... poorly.), that while they can play their instruments, they can't write anything but generic riffs, and their latest album ripped off Metallica note for note. Another guy said, very assuredly, that trivium was Heafy's "money band". I'm pretty sure there are other publications/websites/figures in the metal community that have said this, and are reputable enough to be cited here. Anyway, I figured you would want to know about that particular discussion, and wanted to hear your piece on it. Cronos12390 16:33, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimania in Atlanta!

[edit]

Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!

P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 09:13, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
