Non-free use disputed for Image:Uleb Cup 2007 logo.gif

[edit]
Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Uleb Cup 2007 logo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:40, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Banner meci vs barbarians.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Proposed deletion of Sala Constantin Jude

[edit]

The article Sala Constantin Jude has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable building.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Unspecified source/license for File:Fourteen-Logo.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Fourteen-Logo.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

A tag has been placed on Fourteen (company) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.  —SMALLJIM  20:09, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources

[edit]

The source isn't particularly reliable if my company's site blocks it. I see no actual number at https://cavalryfc.canpl.ca/stadium-profile and so we need an official press release, news story or something official to support a change in size. Without that, an estimate of 5,000 is sufficient (although I've heard much larger numbers, but not from reliable sources). Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:57, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's reliable, I mean it's a photo of the official guide that was handed out yesterday at the Cavalry FC event. Those are official club numbers. But I guess we can wait for a press release.--Cristane (talk) 05:46, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

March 2019

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on York 9 FC; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
Yes. I would be happy to change any other footballer's nationality that does not follow the rules. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:29, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Football player nationality

[edit]

Feel free to discuss it at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football and stop edit warring. Until the player is cap-tied to Taipei, his nationality does not change. That's FIFA's rule, not the project's. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:32, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Walter Görlitz: You should then "fix" the other pages as well. Right now, this guy is listed as TPE on multiple pages on wiki, and CAN on just one page. Cristane (talk) 00:45, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
List them and I'll determine if a fix is needed, or discuss at WikiProject Football. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:51, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Nah, it's alright. This guy's nationality is TPE, and the page with him as CAN is wrong. So I'd rather have those other pages remain correct. (Also, he wasn't capped by Canada either, so your logic for changing his nationality to CAN doesn't really make sense). I just don't feel like arguing about this any longer, so I'll leave everything as you wish. Cristane (talk) 01:04, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article European League of Football has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Planned organization (or recently created, article is confusing). Either way, the coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) requirement. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Infobox stats

[edit]

Please note that we only include domestic league games in the infobox - so no Cup or Continental matches etc. Please also ensure that when you update the stats you also update the date, using ~~~~~. If you have any questions please ask. GiantSnowman 10:09, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I assume you are referring to NISA stats? According to NISA, and their own stats page, this Legends Cup is actually phase 1 of the regular season, and they're counting these stats as part of the regular season (not playoffs). The semifinals / final are different, and will not be added. Cristane (talk) 14:13, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Again - please ensure that when you update the stats you also update the date, using ~~~~~. If you have any questions please ask. GiantSnowman 07:46, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I always update the date, but manually, had no idea about ~~~~~. Cristane (talk) 12:44, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please can you use the tildes as advised? GiantSnowman 17:28, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Can I ask, why the mandatory use of ~~~~~? Isn't it more easy to read if it's just the date? It's not like the hour, minute, and timezone have any sort of relevance for player stats. I've been updating the date for every single player I changed the stats for. Thanks. Cristane (talk) 01:11, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
