Reverted Edit to Deodorant

[edit]

Hello. I reverted your edit to deodorant because of the change to the section header for burns as a potential hazard. Your edit did not fit in the section. I would also challenge that the information you added had limited value. The article linked as reference had limited information on why spray deodorants were hazardous to health and the article title was extremely inflammatory with limited support in the article. I would be happy to talk further about how you could add concerns to the article, or you could open a discussion on the article's talk page. Thank you for your continued contributions. @Inomyabcs
Thanks! Not that wikipedia works like this, but intuitively, spray deodorant must be worse for health bc we end up breathing some in.
So there must be a citation somewhere talking about it Cripplemac (talk) 20:46, 21 September 2022 (UTC)Cripplemac (talk) 20:47, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, but it is not as critical as you think.
A quick look at Google Scholar, for the terms "spray deodorant inhalation" came back with some useful articles. One of them comes from South Korea and reports from prior research, "In the case of deodorants, inhalation and dermal exposure are considered the main exposure routes to consumers (Schnuch et al., 2010, Vein and Menne, 2006). " Schnuch et al. studied 21 patients with a sensitivity to some of the chemicals and the inhalation did set off a reaction in 6 of them.
So it is important to be aware of the ingredients on the labels for those that have allergies or other dermatological sensitivities.
