User talk:CrimsonFury
Welcome!
[edit]Sorry, CrimsonFury, I didn't realize that you're fresh meat (kidding). I'm not part of the Welcoming committee, but on behalf of Wikipedia, welcome! Here are some useful pages to get you started:
- How to edit a page
- Editing tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
In case you didn't know, sign all your posts by typing ~~~ or ~~~~ for your name and the date (generally prefered).
If you've confused or need some help, drop me a line and I'll do my best to help you out. I look a little new myself, but I've been here for a few years and just have a new username. I'm going to be out of town for a few months starting around Labor Day, but up 'til then I'd be happy to give a hand.
Take care of yourself, --Blackcap | talk 22:29, August 22, 2005 (UTC)
Syracuse reviving...
[edit]Hi CrimsonFury -- Just a note to claim that Wikipedia:WikiProject Syracuse, New York is at least somewhat revived, with a couple people contributing and a good number of new articles. See the new article list on the main webpage of the project. Hope you can return and participate! doncram (talk) 01:16, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
Tim Russert
[edit]Just wanted to send you a quick note to explain my reversion of your edit to Tim Russert. It appears that there was some early and possibly unfounded speculation in the press that Russert had a heart attack or coronary embolism. Most of the media have backed away from those statements. Consensus seems to be that we'll hold off on stating a cause of death until a knowledgeable source (doctor/medical examiner/coroner) has something to say. See the talk page for more details. Thanks! --Clubjuggle T/C 20:52, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Notification of automated file description generation
[edit]Your upload of File:Clinton Square.JPG or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.
This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! The file File:CrimsonFurywithJohnCena.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unused personal photo. Out of scope.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 07:24, 1 January 2023 (UTC)
