3RR vio
I hated to do this to you, but while I understand that you were removing POV by the other editor, you also breached 3RR rule. I've decided to remove the block I placed on you, but please be careful and let others take care of it (by alerting them). - Penwhale | Blast him / Follow his steps 16:24, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- I contacted the other user via their Talk page and requested a semi-protection on that page. I would have alerted others if I knew who to alert and how in this situation. Can you enlighten me please? Crimperman 10:22, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for removing the vandalism from that page, but as Penwhale noted, you must be aware of our three-revert rule policy:
- I was aware of it but not when the edit war started. I requested the semi-protection on the page but considering the nature of the vandalism I wanted to ensure the protection did not take place with the non-encyclopaedic content in place. I did attempt to contact the other use via their talk page but it seemed to be fruitless. Anyway - lesson learned and apologies. :o) Crimperman 10:11, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors.
