On 8th December 2011, The Civil Court in Hamburg made the following decision:
John Rossall is not allowed to: - Announce or carry out, or to let anybody announce or carry out, shows or advertisements using the name “Glitter Band” or “The Glitterband featuring John Rossall”.
This ruling is in agreement with judgements ordered in The British High Court in 1984 and 1997.
There has never been an order that allows John Rossall to use Ex Glitter Band. Pete Phipps The Glitter Band
John Rossall no longer performs as The Glitter Band. There is a high court order in the case between John Rossall and Gerald Shephard that states John Rossall is allowed to mention his historical connection with The Glitter Band—″

There is no order of the High Court that states John Rossall is allowed to mention his historical connection with The Glitter Band. If you are insistent that there is, then please email a copy to me...I and my lawyer (who was in the High Court with me at the time) would love to see it! My email address is: (blanked)
I will send the press cuttings in the next few days I have sent the court Documents to mr Phipps. this hign court action was between John Rossall and Gerald Shephard. Pete Phipps had nothing to do with the case. Gerry Shephard has sadly passed away in 2003
John Rossall Ex or formerly of the Glitter Band
