Need some technical information
Can we create two articles (Lists talking about the same thing) when contents of one of which completely subsumes the other? Please answer this here. Or here. I mean, is there a policy expressly allowing or negating it?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Please give me a {{tb}} on my talk page (just in case I forget to check this page again). Mrt3366 (Talk?) 11:45, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 24
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 1000 Ways to Die, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Puns (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

File Mover
Would you mind looking over the current requests for File Mover permission? -- TOW 16:21, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
- Done. I chose not to give you file mover permission; I don't have any issues with what you've moved to Commons, I just would prefer to see some more experience. Keep up the good work and ask file mover permission again in a while. ~Crazytales (talk) (edits) 20:37, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for dealing with my request. I will keep moving files to commons and just use the rename template if I want a file renamed before a move. -- TOW 05:48, 28 July 2013 (UTC)
Dreams by partridges
We may not be Doctor Doolittle. But you ask a good rhetorical question. And I in turn ask: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? FWIW, I feel intuitively that dogs dream. A thought that occurred to Patti Smith. So do Dolphins and Whales. And I extrapolate downward, albeit I have not an iota of proof. Talk about anthropomorphic. Happy editing. {:>{)> 7&6=thirteen (☎) 15:58, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi Crazytales, can you elaborate on how MoS prevents this move? Cheers, Hwy43 (talk) 07:08, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
- Per WP:Manual of Style/Disambiguation pages, if there's a primary topic associated with a page title, then the article for the primary topic should be at "Page title", and the disambiguation at "Page title (disambiguation)". I think the primary topic for Calling Lake would be the lake itself. Again per MoS, the town would be at Calling Lake, Alberta, the airport at Calling Lake Airport, etc. I don't think the Calling Lake (Alberta) title makes a whole lot of sense because there aren't any other Calling Lakes (the lakes themselves) that have a Wikipedia article. ~Alison C. (Crazytales) (talk, edits) 15:27, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for elaborating. The reason I requested the db-move was that I wasn't convinced either the lake or the community was the primary topic. I'll consider a formal RM. Cheers, Hwy43 (talk) 05:25, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
- Just reviewed article traffic stats. Calling Lake was viewed 391 times in the past 90 days, while Calling Lake, Alberta was viewed 1,555 times. Would this be sufficient grounds to re-request a db-move? BTW, no need to TB on my talk page. I'll keep an eye out for your reply. Cheers, Hwy43 (talk) 05:56, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
- I'm not sure. I'd say yes to the db-move if the difference was like an order of magnitude, but here it's only about a factor of 4. I would still suggest opening a formal RM. ~Alison C. (Crazytales) (talk, edits) 14:20, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
- Okay. Thanks for the help. Cheers, Hwy43 (talk) 19:19, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

A new user right for New Page Patrollers
Hi Crazytales.
A new user group, New Page Reviewer, has been created in a move to greatly improve the standard of new page patrolling. The user right can be granted by any admin at PERM. It is highly recommended that admins look beyond the simple numerical threshold and satisfy themselves that the candidates have the required skills of communication and an advanced knowledge of notability and deletion. Admins are automatically included in this user right.
It is anticipated that this user right will significantly reduce the work load of admins who patrol the performance of the patrollers. However, due to the complexity of the rollout, some rights may have been accorded that may later need to be withdrawn, so some help will still be needed to some extent when discovering wrongly applied deletion tags or inappropriate pages that escape the attention of less experienced reviewers, and above all, hasty and bitey tagging for maintenance. User warnings are available here but very often a friendly custom message works best.
If you have any questions about this user right, don't hesitate to join us at WT:NPR. (Sent to all admins).MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:47, 15 November 2016 (UTC)
ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
Hello, Crazytales. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
