Speedy deletion nomination of Chicago fun club
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Chicago fun club, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. -- Sam Sailor Talk! 16:32, 13 October 2015 (UTC)
- The article you created will need additional news sources or it will get deleted eventually. There is a Huffington Post article about the group. See if you can find more in lcoal news. You need to cite the claim that the group is the largest if it's type in midwest. Ask me if you need help and I'll do my best to help you out on Wiki. - Hi! saw your post on my talk page. If you visit my talk page and click on a link of any article I wrote, you'll see I put a lot of in-line citations. If you're not sure how to format a citation, it's OK to put just the web link: someone else can clean it up. You can learn to format later. Right now, let's get your article up to speed. You'll need several "Reliable sources" such as newspaper articles and so on in order for the article to pass the notability test. I'm going to add a source to your article so you can see how it might look. Note: your article still might not pass notability. It might get deleted. But that's OK. I've had articles deleted, too. Think of it as a learning process. :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 19:49, 13 October 2015 (UTC)
