Merge of Whizzy with Streaky the Supercat

[edit]

I took care of the merger. As you said, the Whizzy character only made one appearanced so it is not necessary to have a seperate article. Mtminchi08 (talk) 06:57, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Prods

[edit]

Please do not propose articles for deletion without specifying a reason. -- Necrothesp (talk) 18:29, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. I thought the reasons were quite obvious when there are other Templates : notability, lack of sources, ... for two-three years. --Crazy runner (talk) 18:44, 23 January 2011 (UTC)ps: If notability cannot be established, the article is likely to be merged, redirected, or deleted.[reply]
That's irrelevant. If you want to propose for deletion you must specify a reason. Otherwise it looks like you've just done it for the sake of it (which is not unusual). -- Necrothesp (talk) 22:05, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think you can carry out the merge you proposed. There are 4 votes for merging. No votes against merging. Kurt Parker (talk) 19:40, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks you for the information. I will do it Wednesday. I am currently doing a competition on WP.fr --Crazy runner (talk) 18:04, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Heimdall (Marvel comics)

[edit]

I noticed you provided the sources for edits made by User:Zero_no_Kamen on the Heimdall (Marvel comics) page. At the moment, I am questioning the need to have the mention of the controversy stir on this article since it's clear that the controversy stir was blown way out of proportion and is conterevening guidelines per WP:UNDUE. The controversy stir mention the disgruntlement of some white supremacists of Idris Elba (a black actor) being cast as Heimdall. I'm on the articles talk page. Thank you. KN→ talkcontribs 12:12, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I answer on the talk page. Delete it.--Crazy runner (talk) 20:26, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

All of your work to add references to the article is amazing!! Great job!! Spidey104 13:27, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Continue like that. You are right the Comic Book Resources covers all the article. It is a beginning. Some should be improved. 85.171.171.184 (talk) 00:01, 11 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.--Crazy runner (talk) 15:56, 11 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'll start my search with what you have provided. I only have ~40 Wizard magazines, so it isn't a horrible number to sort through. My only concern is that I am leaving town tomorrow and probably won't be able to search for it before I leave and "Third Summers brother" might get deleted before I get back and can find it. :-( BAD timing. Spidey104 18:39, 11 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sadly I could not find the Wizard article I know does exist. So I am thinking that maybe we could turn the Third Summers brother article (using my sandbox) into an article about the entire Summers family and have that included as a section. This could save the notability of the information because I am fairly sure that the person who nominated the article for deletion will nominate it again and we probably won't be able to save it again since I was unable to find the Wizard article. Spidey104 14:06, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Answer on Spidey104's talk page. I prefer a merge with Vulcan. --Crazy runner (talk) 10:50, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Improper labeling of vandalism

[edit]

Please read WP:NOTVAND. The edits made by User:Harley Hudson that you reverted on X-23 are not vandalism, and should not be labelled as such. Thank you. - SudoGhost 07:05, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

For me, they are, the definition of the character is provided in a list article. Harley Hudson has proded the article of this character, I redirect to the list article and now the definition of the list article is deleted. Others contributors have made comments about the constants deletion of Harley Hudson Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Comics#Harley_Hudson_and_deletions, Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Spider-Man_episodes. --Crazy runner (talk) 07:10, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't matter if you consider those edits vandalism, Wikipedia does not. Wikipedia has specific guidelines as to what is and is not vandalism, and the edits you reverted are not vandalism. Specifically read the 'Disruptive editing or stubbornness' section of WP:NOTVAND. You may also want to take a look at WP:AGF. Stubborn, and possibly POINTy? Perhaps. Vandalism? No. - SudoGhost 07:13, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for providing me this information about 'Disruptive editing or stubbornness'. It is the right definition.--Crazy runner (talk) 07:38, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
For information User:Harley Hudson is a sock puppet of User:Otto4711 and has been blocked indefinitely.--Crazy runner (talk) 15:56, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Kraken question

[edit]

Hi. I'm the guy who did most of the writeup for the Kraken (Marvel Comics) page. I'm the one that listed all the Krakens and uploaded those pics. I'd like to do one for DC Comics as well. Like Marvel, DC has had a plethora of Krakens through the years. Some are huge sea monsters, while others are villians/heroines etc. The problem is when you go to Kraken (DC Comics), it redirects to the Alpha Lantern heroine who uses that name on the List of Green Lanterns page!

My question is, how can I seperate the Kraken (DC Comics) page from the List of Green Lanterns page, so that its its own page. Therefore I can add info to it in regards to the various other Krakens from DC, fleshing it out encompassing all the Krakens in the DC universe similar to how the Marvel Kraken page is presented?.Giantdevilfish (talk) 02:01, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Giantdevilfish
When you click on the redirection, you finish on the "List of Green Lanterns", under the title of the article "List of Green Lanterns", it is written (Redirected from Kraken (DC Comics)). If you click on "Kraken (DC Comics)" at this location, you arrive on the redirection page http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kraken_%28DC_Comics%29&redirect=no and you can edit it and change it into an article.
If you copy some informations from "List of Green Lanterns", you should tell it in the edit summary. Something like Information about Kraken coming from List of Green Lanterns.
I would let the definition of Kraken in the "List of Green Lanterns" and add a Template:Main below the heading of the summary to direct to "Kraken (DC Comics)".
If you meet some problems, I can do it.
--Crazy runner (talk) 07:29, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
OK I did it. Let me know what you think or if there is anything you can do to make it look better by all means do so. I want to add some pictures to the page after I get some feedback from you.Giantdevilfish (talk) 13:11, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have changed the talkpage of Kraken (DC Comics)[1], I forget to tell you. In my opinion, it will help people if there are a section about the aquatic monsters and a section about the characters with the codename or name Kraken like I have done with Kraken (Marvel Comics). The references are a begining. You can add the pictures.--Crazy runner (talk) 13:46, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
A baby Kraken in Wonder Woman And The Furies #1 (2011) [2]--Crazy runner (talk) 14:07, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thats interesting. Before we add it, lets see how it plays out. This is the cover of the upcoming Flashpoint: Deathstroke Curse of the Ravager #2 (due out later this month)

http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110607055241/marvel_dc/images/9/9b/Flashpoint_Deathstroke_and_the_Curse_of_the_Ravager_Vol_1_2_Textless.jpg

Maybe that huge octopus monster is the adult Kraken of the same species? When I get the issue I'll check it out to confirm. Then it can be added to the page as one entity. Meanwhile feel free to reorganize the page into monsters and characters if you think it will be more clear and coherent.Giantdevilfish (talk) 14:28, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. I will work in the future on these articles. I think that the distinguish between the depictions of the Kraken and the characters with the name Kraken is important. The article Kraken in popular culture should be improved, maybe a part merge in a section of the article Kraken and Kraken in popular cuture could be renamed "List of depictions of the Kraken in popular culture" with some links to the section in the articles about comics. It is a long work. Thank you for your additions.--Crazy runner (talk) 15:50, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In American Eagle (Marvel Comics), you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Ron Wilson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
