Hi there - thanks for your input on the Wikipedia:Userboxes/Computing page. That helped!
I have done a test-split of this article in my own sandboxes. The split has corrected the problem found at the bottom of the project page where we are losing userboxes to "disformatting". This supports what you suggested, that the problem is simply driven by page length and too many templates on it.
If we are going to do this split we should do so fairly quickly before too many edits are made on this page! We would need to also update the "WP:UBS" template.
The test project pages for viewing are located at:
Computing userboxes other than software
Software userboxes
I wanted to get you (and other editors interested in that page) to have a look, see what they think and post their thoughts on the talk page. - Ahunt (talk) 15:37, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi again - I probably caught you away from Wikipedia over New Years. I just wanted to let you know that due to the damage identified on the Wikipedia:Userboxes/Computing page I went ahead and split the page. The split page can be found at Wikipedia:Userboxes/Software. - Ahunt (talk) 11:49, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
How are things!
[edit]Hi there -- just checking in, since I haven't heard from you in several days. Are things going okay? Any questions on wikipedia I can answer?--Fabrictramp (talk) 22:53, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hmmm...I think I have the basics of editing down, but I'm not sure exactly where to begin, where to find articles to edit. I found Wikipedia:Community_Portal/Opentask, but I don't know what to do with the articles on there. Maybe I should just stick with things I'm interested in for now, such as articles for animes?
- It's always good to start with articles that interest you. :) Wikipedia:WikiProject Anime and manga has several things that would be good for a beginner. You might try Wikipedia:ANIME#Cleanup and Wikipedia:WikiProject_Anime_and_manga/Expand. If you pick an article that you find interesting and aren't sure what needs to be done, drop me a note and I'll give you some tips. Happy editing! --Fabrictramp (talk) 00:31, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Checking back in with you. Editing going okay? Any questions?--Fabrictramp (talk) 19:03, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- Sadly, my schedule has been really crazy lately, so I was forced to take a Wikibreak, and therefore my edit count since you last talked to me is 3. I'm going to start spending more of my free time on Wikipedia again, but as of now, I don't have any questions. --Crazed by Penguins (talk) 04:46, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
- No problem. Feel free to drop me a note if and when you have a question. --Fabrictramp (talk) 15:10, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Adoption update
[edit]Looks like you've been able to edit a bit without having any questions. Just wanted to let you know that real life is intruding on wikipedia for me, so I won't be on nearly as often. If you have a question, please feel free to ask, but it might be few days before I can answer.--Fabrictramp (talk) 00:23, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
IMDB
[edit]internet movie data base is unreliable.Bread Ninja (:talk) 08:49, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
- I will keep this in mind. I've done some more research, and the resume on the Roger Craig Smith's official website does not show that he was in Monster at all. Is this a valid source, or should I keep looking? I'm finding the same results on MyAnimeList.net (which I assume is also not a site that would be considered reliable). I guess I don't know where to find this for sure, but I can find no other evidence to support that either of the pages I edited were correct before. If you can direct me to a website that would be more reliable, I would appreciate it. (For reference: Monster (manga), Roger Craig Smith) Crazed by Penguins (talk) 22:11, 3 April 2011 (UTC)
