Editing prior to creating user name
[edit]Cosmopolismetropolis, did you edit the Dave Rubin article prior to creating your account? The disputed labels on the Rubin article were added by an IP editor on 11 Oct. Your first edit to the Rubin article was immediately after. Note this is not against any rules since it's common for editors to edit as an IP prior to creating an account (I did just that). - Springee No, that was not my account. I made this account to correct a small grammatical error I found in a Google information panel after searching for Dave Rubin's name (you'll notice this in the page's history). Later in the day I checked to see if Google had corrected this panel and noticed someone had made some changes to the page that retracted some information. I felt strongly that this information should be included, so reverted this.
- I would never use my IP to make edits, I'm a bit paranoid with that sort of thing. I made this new account to keep it separate from my other account, which I would like to keep non-political. The closeness of our edits was just a coincidence. --Cosmopolismetropolis (talk) 13:40, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
- No problem. I also understand the concerns about having a political and non-political account. You should check on the multi-account rules. I know it's allowed but there are restrictions and cautions associated with it.[[1]] Springee (talk) 15:57, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
