Thank you for uploading File:OSC Season1.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Skier Dude (talk) 01:52, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding this image, can you supply a specific web-link as the source? Also, depending on the source, you might need to go through WP:OTRS. But, with the specific source we'd be able to determine the appropriate license for the image. Skier Dude (talk) 03:03, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Here is the source. http://www.corusent.com/home/MediaCentre/Television/CosmoTV/ProgramDetails/tabid/2126/Default.aspx?Bid=8&Pid=153. The image has since been changed to a more recent one. Except where otherwise noted, images are available for download, print for non-commercial use only, provided you do not delete or change any of the information, including copyright or trademark notices.CosmoGirl Toronto 21:50, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
Given the details that you mentioned, my suggestion is that you follow the instructions WP:OTRS. Getting the "ticket" on the image will prevent questions in the future. Don't worry if it's deleted in the interem, any admin can restore it once the permission is received. Skier Dude (talk) 04:16, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Username

[edit]

Hello King Öomie and thank you for your e-mail. I understand your concern about my username however I assure you it is a nickname and not a promotional or official Username. I use the city of Toronto as a jumping point between Vancouver, New York, and Los Angeles and so have been dubbed CosmoGirl Toronto because of my cosmopolitan lifestyle, not due to any particular affiliation. Any and all content I have posted so far has been dutifully researched and referenced. CosmoGirl Toronto 19:14, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

Alright, that's fine. Seeing your name so close to an article you created was a bit of a red flag :P, as was you saying you had permission to use a non-fair-use image (which we typically see from people who are creating an article at the behest of their employer). --King Öomie 19:34, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Surprisingly fast turnaround in article improvements as well. Keep it up =) --King Öomie 19:40, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. :) Regarding article improvement - Now that all traces of bias have been removed and that the article has been rewritten in a more neutral fashion, what is the policy on removing the article issues box? Will a wiki editor take care of it or should I? CosmoGirl Toronto 21:23, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
You can get rid of them yourself once you feel they've been dealt with. If someone else re-adds a tag like that, ensure that the issue is solved before it's removed. In this case, I'm taking that one down and adding one that fits better now. --King Öomie 21:38, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
And more specifically about the new tag, you might consider using synonyms for some of the move POV-ey words in the article, like "featuring". Poke through the Manual of Style for some tips on encyclopedic writing. We're not aiming for a casual, magazine feel- formality is a must. For your reference, The Oprah Winfrey Show- a B-class (pretty good) talkshow article. --King Öomie 21:40, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion-

[edit]

Enable Popups (roll-over article tooltips), Twinkle (easy article tagging and user warning) and Hotcat (simplified category management) in your Preferences. You'll find them in the Gadgets section. --King Öomie 23:51, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops, forgot to kill that category ;P --King Öomie 21:09, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Done and done. Thanks for your help. :)--CosmoGirl Toronto 22:21, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
