Scare Tactics lawsuit
[edit]I had deleted the part about the lawsuit because many editors said it was a publicity stunt and that the lawsuit was fake. Although it looks legit from details of the law firm's website, there seems to be no solid information out there as to what happened with it. Was it settled? Was it thrown out? So, because of the lack of publicized results of the suit, I had just deleted it thinking it wasn't important for the article. The article is about the show itself, not the "drama" behind it. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Mayday Books.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Mayday Books.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ww2censor (talk) 18:36, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
SLAC
[edit]When you changed the target of the SLAC redirect from the article about the accelerator facility to the disambiguation page, you may have overlooked the fact that dozens of other Wikipedia articles contain links to "SLAC". When you change the target of an existing page title, "it is strongly recommended that you modify all pages that link to the old title so they will link to the new title". --R'n'B (call me Russ) 15:14, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
- Also, did you consider whether the criteria for a primary topic of the ambiguous title might be met? --R'n'B (call me Russ) 15:15, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the info. I think the policies you cite are important and I am glad to be more familiar with them. I will think about how to better resolve the issue, but there are quite a few people who do know of the political organization SLAC and might search for it with the acronym, which brings them directly to an unrelated article.
