Image Tagging Image:Anugerah05.jpg
[edit]This media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Anugerah05.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih 14:49, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Welcome Coolkid13[edit] |
Hi I saw you started an article on Suria TV. Thats great however some parts of the article probably need removing. For example the artis of the month section includes copyright materail - especially the "Describe Yourself" bit. Also that section isn't really appropriate for wikpedia because it is unlikely to get updated every month and is information better suited to simply a discription of what the artis of the month means and then a link to the page. I advise removing that section.
You may also want to add some more history about the channel. I also saw you were having trouble with image copyrights and tagging that you uploaded. You must make sure that all uploaded files have relevant copyright notices and information about where they were sourced or they will be deleted. If you need advice on how to tag images and which license to choose then please get in touchwith me on my talk page. Apart from all these minor things you seem to have made a good start to editing wikipedia, it can be a steep learning curve but evantually alot of the protocol will come as second nature! I hope you have fun editing and hope you find some of the info below useful and interesting. Cheers, Tom |
You can sign your name on talk pages by using " ~~~ " for your username and " ~~~~ " for your username and a timestamp.. Signing your name is important on talk pages because it helps people get in touch with you. Also remember to indent each of your comments using : so that other users can follow the flow of discussions As well as editing wikipedia you could also think about taking part in many other essential activities that make wikipedia a friendly place. For example you could welcome new users to wikipedia (for this you are could use my welcome templates here) or you could try mediating discussions between other users. There are loads of other options at the Wikipedia:Community Portal. |

Orphaned fair use image (Image:MediaCorp TV12 Central.jpg)
[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:MediaCorp TV12 Central.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 06:10, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
