Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Coolbd! I am Tanvir Ahmmed and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

CSE Deparment at CU
[edit]Thank you for your message. Individual university departments in Bangladesh are not notable (yet) to justify their own wikipedia article. I have previously redirected a similarly unencyclopedic article on the CSE department of BUET. Anyway, since you disagree with my decision to redirect the page to the Chittagong University article, I have put it on AFD. --Ragib (talk) 06:31, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Numbering system
[edit]Hi, I noticed you were from Bangladesh, and I wanted to know which numbering system you used. Is it the lakh-crore-arawb system or the million-brazillion system?--Rsrikanth05 (talk) 14:29, 26 March 2009 (UTC) P.S: Please reply on my talk page.
- Juat wanted to know wheter we Indians were the only ones using lakh-crores officially...seems like it isn't... :D --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 05:28, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Hello
[edit]I understand that you are a native speaker of Bengali. I would be most grateful if you could translate something for me in to English from Bangladesh's Ministry of Foreign affairs please. I understand it is about Kosovo. [2] Regards Ijanderson (talk) 18:15, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- It's done.
- Sorry about that, thanks anyway. Regards Ijanderson (talk) 13:29, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
- No need to be sorry. Most welcome; anytime.--Cool BD (talk) 20:03, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading this media,
However, it would be nice if you could give some kind of indication as to what license the media is under. That way other people can be confident in making use of it for many varied purposes :)
Adding license information also helps prevent media you've put effort into creating from being deleted :)
You may wish to read Wikipedia:Image_copyright_tags#For_image_creators which will assist you :) Sfan00 IMG (talk) 21:46, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:Bangla.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Bangla.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 19:19, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries
[edit]If you want the article to be deleted, please list it for discussion at WP:AFD; simply asking for deletion on the article's talk page isn't going to accomplish anything. Please note as well that as long as the article is still here, the maintenance tags ({{wikify}}, {{uncategorized}}, etc.) need to stay on it as long as those maintenance tasks haven't actually been done. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 22:10, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for advice.----Cool BD (talk) 02:17, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
