Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, CoolBoy789, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Desjardins Insurance did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need personal help ask me on my talk page, or ask a question on your talk page. Again, welcome.  Sundayclose (talk) 00:36, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Her Majesty (song), have conflicted with our neutral point of view and/or verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 00:30, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm UncleBubba. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Billy Blanks, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! — UncleBubba T @ C ) 00:55, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm UncleBubba. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, State Farm, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — UncleBubba T @ C ) 01:30, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Zane Lowe. Thank you. — UncleBubba T @ C ) 01:34, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Tap In, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. — UncleBubba T @ C ) 03:22, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Brainwashed (George Harrison album). Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. JG66 (talk) 13:56, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at While My Guitar Gently Weeps, you may be blocked from editing. JG66 (talk) 13:56, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi CoolBoy789! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 16:45, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at The Inner Light (song). Sundayclose (talk) 00:22, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This is also a final warning to stop marking edits as minor that are not minor. Read WP:MINOR. If there's something about minor edits or the need to provide reliable sources, ask here now before your next edit. Otherwise if you continue to violate these policies and guidelines, you could lose your editing privileges. Sundayclose (talk) 00:25, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi CoolBoy789! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Bill Haley & His Comets that may not have been. It looks like you're marking a large number of your edits "minor" when they are not. Please stop doing this—it's confusing to your fellow editors. — UncleBubba T @ C ) 00:41, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to PBS Kids Bookworm Bunch. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Your writing about Weston Woods Studios and State Farm, for example, sound like you are trying to promote them. That's not what Wikipedia is for. — UncleBubba T @ C ) 01:16, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to John Hughes (filmmaker). Thank you. — UncleBubba T @ C ) 01:41, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Desjardins Insurance. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use your sandbox. HEY! STOP! I've seen you communicate on the Teahouse page, so I know you can do it. Why don't you read these messages here and respond? Nearly ALL of your edits have been removed because of problems (unsourced, unexplained, poor grammar/syntax, etc.) You seem to have a lot of energy, but 99% of what you do here is gone. Is that really what you're trying to accomplish? — UncleBubba T @ C ) 13:09, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]
Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for disruptive editing, failure to heed the warnings and notices on your talk page, failure to communicate, and failure to include references to reliable sources for your unsourced edits, creating significant work for others to clean up after you. Normally this block would be indefinite, but this block will expire after some time to give you a chance to edit constructively in the future. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~Anachronist (talk) 02:07, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, CoolBoy789, Wikipedia is a community effort, which means that people here work together to make something larger than any of us. It also means that people here talk to each other, explain what they are doing, and try to follow the rules. I know you can post, because I saw you ask one question on the Teahouse page. Why won't you talk here? If you don't, I'm afraid your contributions won't last very long. — UncleBubba T @ C ) 13:39, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for unsourced changes. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding {{unblock|your reason here}} below this notice.
