Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of upcoming TVB dramas, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Joe Ma (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Metro Line 550

[edit]

Hello,

I added the Metro 550 entry on the Los Angeles Metro Bus page. While it will be discontinued on the San Pedro side, we don't know about the USC half until the Westside/Central Service Council next Wednesday night, November 9 at 6pm. However, agendas may be seen ahead of time. Until then, I added the 550 back on the page until we learn what will happen with the USC side.

I have already check the powerpoint on South Bay Service Council with December 11, 2022 service change on last week and you are right let's find out with the Westside/Central Service Council within December 11, 2022 service change update. Thanks for the heads up and sounds like a deal. Cool90630 (talk) 23:32, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi Cool90630. Thank you very much for your work on updating TVB articles. It is very appreciated. I participated in this AfD, where I supported retention of these TVB drama lists.

Three Wikipedia:Articles for creation reviewers have declined to move Draft:List of TVB dramas in 2024 to List of TVB dramas in 2024 because the draft lacks independent reliable sources. The draft cites TVB.com sources only. For each entry on the list, would you keep the TVB.com source but also add a second source about the TVB drama that is independent and reliable?

Independent and reliable sources that may cover TVB dramas include HK01, the Hong Kong Economic Times, the Hong Kong Economic Journal, am730, and the sources listed in List of newspapers in Hong Kong. Once independent sources are added, the draft will be ready for mainspace, and I would be happy to do the move.

On a separate matter, I noticed your edit here that removed {{ill}} from List of TVB dramas in 2023, saying it was "invalid". Would you clarify why the link was invalid? The guideline Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking#Interwiki links says: "{{Interlanguage link}} template may be helpful to show a red link accompanied by an interlanguage link if no article exists in English Wikipedia." I believe the links to the Chinese Wikipedia are very helpful to give readers more information about the topic and to leave red links to encourage editors to create English Wikipedia articles about the TVB dramas. A bot will replace the {{Interlanguage link}} template once the article has been created on the English Wikipedia. I routinely use {{ill}} templates in articles I create. I recommend adding the interlanguage links back. Cunard (talk) 11:20, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Cunard, if you want to readd the interlanguage link as possible you can go ahead. For a separate matter reason, I wonder why ill is valid because the guideline Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking#Interwiki links according to you so personally thank you for real explanation here and that's how I was so confused though it was unvalid ill}}. Basically, without (ill/Linking#Interwiki) aka interlanguage links of the wikipedia manual style so any user can create the article about TVB drama (TV Series) starting from scratch instead otherwise for example, using :zh:chinese name|english name so obviously I learn that from some user in the past that I can't remember what the username on Wikipedia of the past who put :zh:chinese name|english name instead but to be honest, not just only me to responsible :zh:chinese name|english name and it was other user on Wikipedia back then I am not only the one. I do understand about the chinese drama name article with 英文:english name but anyways, I can abide about guidelines linking#interwiki links aka ill with alternate.
Perharps I get it now about the independent and reliable sources could cover TVB dramas with other HK news (HK01, Economic Times and Journal in Hong Kong and am 730) including newspaper then ready for mainspace so thank you for explanation. I will add more reference in this year of list for TVB dramas as possible. Cool90630 (talk) 19:25, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for adding the independent reliable sources to the draft! I've moved the draft to mainspace at List of TVB dramas in 2024. Thank you also for being fine with restoring the {{Interlanguage link}} templates based on the guideline Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking#Interwiki links. I've restored the {{Interlanguage link}} templates to List of TVB dramas in 2023 and added them to List of TVB dramas in 2024. I hope the red links will encourage editors to create articles about those dramas. Thank you again very much for all the work you do on creating and updating these TVB articles. Cunard (talk) 10:00, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Unless there is no policy {{Interlanguage link}} templates based on the guideline Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking#Interwiki links then I would put:zh:chinese name|english name with alternate instead and I am here to be honest and not persuade here by the way, don't ban me and I want to let you know. As from now on, I will stick with it put the interwiki links aka {{Interlanguage link}} instead. Thanks for the hints of rely on Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking#Interwiki links guidelines. Cunard!
